And stylist, Jamie Mizrahi shared further images from the shoot and explained that Valentino created Adele’s bespoke sequin gown which she wore into the pool.

He said it weighed 70lbs and had to be blow-dried by hand after every take and it was created in the perfect shade of green to work alongside the water.

Jamie wrote: ‘I Drink Wine was the first video we shot for 30 and the first time I worked with @adele. It was on this set that I understood how fortunate I was to work with my talented friend and how absolutely brilliant she is. While adele has many superpowers, one is surrounding herself with professional, kind, talented, respectful people and I’m grateful to have met so many of them on this project.

Iconic: Stylist Jamie Mizrahi shared further images from the shoot and explained that Valentino created Adele’s bespoke sequin gown which she wore into the pool in 10 days and it had to be blow-dried by hand after every take

All that glitters… The dress was made a special shade of green so that it reflected perfectly against the pool

Flawless: Adele’s make-up look was created by Anthony H. Nguyen and she looked absolutely divine

‘It was a two-day overnight shoot’: Jamie shared this long post explaining all the effort that went into making the music video

‘@technicolor_talbot and i discussed the treatment he created. We went back and forth on ideas for the “I drink wine” dress. It was important that the color contrasted perfectly with the water adele would be floating in the entire video.

‘This is when I called @mskatiegoodwin at Valentino. She immediately got @pppiccioli, Adele and I on a FaceTime. There was an instant connection built on trust and excitement around what would be created for this special video.

‘We spent countless hours going back and forth… a WhatsApp chat with Pierpaolo, Joe and myself… discussing all of the different shades of pinks, greens, yellows…. what silhouette would be the most flattering floating in an inner tube… There were endless conversations to make sure we got it right.

Couture: Adele looked incredible in the dress which was made in just 10 days by Maison Valentino

‘With a 10 day turnaround the @maisonvalentino team delivered us a sparkly, beautifully crafted creation in the exact right shade of green. The ideal “I drink wine” dress.

‘And then came the jewels. @lorraineschwartz always delivering the right bling… the icing on the cake.

‘Little did we know the chaos that would ensue with a two day overnight water shoot and a 70 lb. gown that would need to be blow dried in between every single take. The patience, laughter, hysterics and love that was present throughout this entire process is what I’ll remember forever.

Working on perfection: The director could be seen analysing every shot in further behind the scenes moments

Attention to detail: All the embellishments were shared by the team on social media

‘Thank you to the Valentino team, Pierpaolo, Katie, Joe, Lorraine and everyone who was a part of this process and the biggest thank you to @adele for having me be on this special ride. @ravieb @samiknighthair @anthonyhnguyenmakeup I love laughing my ass off with you all.’

It comes as the Hello hitmaker, is set to finally begin her delayed Las Vegas residency next month.

The singer has been jetting back and forth between the LA home she shares with Rich and Las Vegas, where she will begin her rescheduled residency – Weekends With Adele – in November this year.

The singer announced the new dates in July, months after leaving fans thousands of pounds out of pocket when she pulled the plug on her shows with just 24 hours notice.

Adele had been set to open her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace back in January but cancelled at the very last minute, leaving fans devastated over wasted money on flights and hotels.

After rescheduled dates for the gig were leaked, the singer took to Instagram in July to confirm the show will start in November as she thanked fans for their ‘patience’ and revealed that priority will be given to existing ticket holders.

Alongside a show poster she penned: ‘Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them.

‘But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!

‘Now I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one.

‘To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.

‘Thank you for your patience, I love you ♥️ Adele.’

‘Thank you for your patience!’: Adele finally announced her rescheduled Las Vegas dates in July as she stood by her ‘horrible’ decision to cancel the shows last-minute

The  new dates come after it was reported that the Easy On Me hitmaker had been motivated to ‘push forward’ with rescheduling her Sin City shows after returning to the stage for two sell-out gigs at Hyde Park in London at the beginning of July.

A source told The Sun: ‘Adele loved performing in London and it gave her the drive to push forward with her Vegas residency.

‘An announcement is coming in the next few weeks. Management have asked for a celebration to promote her return.’

Back in January, the Grammy Award winning songstress wept as she explained to fans that she had ‘tried everything’ to get her show up and running but Covid had ‘destroyed’ everything.

She said in a video shared to her social media channels: ‘I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

‘Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it’s been impossible.’

‘Mortified’: In January the hitmaker’s highly-anticipated Las Vegas residency was canceled just 24 hours before she was set to hit the stage at Caesar’s Palace
