Alec Baldwin continues to desperately beg fans to help get his wife Hilaria to one million followers for her 39th birthday: ‘Sure I got her other gifts but I really want this’
Just hours after begging fans to help his wife get to 1million Instagram followers as a birthday present, Alec Baldwin continued his desperate pleas.
The 64-year-old actor wore a black t-shirt, and his gray hair stuck out at different angles as he took to the picture and video social network for a ‘final push’ to reach a social media milestone for his wife.
Baldwin first shared a look at the decorations for his wife’s 39th birthday before launching into another appeal to his fans.

‘O.K., so we’re getting close, we’re so close,’ Baldwin said. ‘To my wife and a million followers.’
He then repositioned the camera asking out loud if he’d picked a better shot for his more than 2.5 million followers.
‘Sure, sure, sure I bought her other birthday gifts, but I really, really want to get her to a million,’ he continued. We’re close its like 996,000. So please follow my wife on Instagram.’
He then promised to come back and push for the one million followers, likening his persistence to a Jerry Lewis telethon, though he was quick to say that his cause wasn’t anything like Jerry’s, who raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in the late 1960s.

This isn’t the first time Alec asked his fans to help him give this gift to his wife. He previously posted about it on Thursday, January 5.

He wrapped up the clip saying, ‘I would like as many of you as possible, I would like a really great, great surge of people to follow my wife on Instagram to say happy birthday to my wife. Would you do that for me? … Please. Thanks.’

Fans gave a mixed response to the request, with some writing that they went ahead and followed to the former yoga instructor, and others questioning the ‘super shallow’ gesture.
‘Alec use your social collateral wisely. This is not the best way to leverage it and it says a lot about what matters to her,’ one fan wrote.
‘Why does your wife care if 1 million strangers “like” her? You, your family and friends all “love” your bride. Isn’t that what really matters?’ another one asked.

Yet another fan shared that she would take a different route in honoring Hilaria’s special day, writing, ‘No, but I will make a donation to a woman’s shelter in her name. Placing importance of million “Likes” on Instagram seems absurd.’
The pair, who wed in 2012, are parents to seven children together: sons Eduardo Pao Lucas, two, Romeo Alejandro David, four, Leonardo Ángel Charles, six, and Rafael Thomas, seven, plus daughters Ilaria Catalina Irena, three months, Maria Lucia Victoria, two months, and Carmen Gabriela, nine.
Last month, she revealed that after seven kids together they are ‘hopefully’ done having kids.
The podcast host said she doesn’t play on having more babies but as Alec has not undergone a vasectomy, she is unable to guarantee that they are finished.
