Alexandra Burke gives birth – X Factor star welcomes first child and shares sweet pic
Alexandra Burke has given birth to her first child and shared an adorable snap of the newborn.
The singer, 33, welcome her new arrival with her West Ham footballer boyfriend Darren Randolph with the proud parents announcing the news on Instagram on Monday, 4 July.
Posting an adorable snap of the baby's tiny feet, Alexandra wrote: "Welcome to the world our little grape. We already love you more than words can say."
Alexandra, who has been dating Darren since around May 2021,announced that she was pregnantwith her first child in February of this year.
She posted a video, set to gentle piano music, that showed her and Darren walking in the woodlands before Darren drops to his knees and kissed her baby bump.
She captioned it simply: "Due June 2022," with a heart face emoji.
Alexandra gushed over her partner Darren in a message posted no long before the baby’s birth, calling the footballer “my world”.
She penned a lengthy caption to her beau, who she called her ‘King’, to celebrate his 35th birthday.
She wrote: “Screaming the happiest of birthdays to my King. You came into my life quite unexpectedly and little did I know that you would change it for the better and fill my world with so much happiness.
“You are such a kind, loving, supportive, funny and generous man… the list could go on! I’m so grateful God bought us together. You and our soon to be little one are both my [world emoji].
“We have created beautiful memories so far and I can’t wait to create many more. I hope you have the most amazing birthday. You deserve it.
“Now hurry home from work so we can celebrate you! I love you”.
Alexandra and Darren were first rumoured to be dating in May 2021, when it was reported that they'd enjoyed a string of romantic dates together.
The following month they looked to confirm their romance, when they shared a loved-up selfie to Instagram from an evening out.
Confirming their relationship, a source told The Sun at the time: "It’s early days and Alexandra has deliberately taken things incredibly slowly.
"Alexandra was extremely reluctant to date another footballer but Darren is the sweetest, most down-to-earth guy — and incredibly charming."
Alexandra and Darren's relationship continued to go from strength to strength, and in September 2021 they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Dune.
Both of the pair's Instagram accounts have been filled with loved-up snaps ever since, of date nights and lavish trips away.
They looked to confirm they'd moved in together last year, when Alexandra posed a photograph over the Christmas period of her, Darren, and their two pet dogs, and wished her followers Merry Christmas from "our home to yours".
