Amy Childs ‘was so worried’ about daughter’s birthmark but says it ‘makes her special’

Amy Childs has admitted that newborn daughter Millie's vivid chest birthmark "worried" her before a doctor settled her nerves.

Born two months ago, little Millie (full name Amelia Mae Delbosq) and twin brother Billy River Delbosq are well acquainted with the world now, with their famous The Only Way is Essex legend mum, 33, showing off their days out together on social media.

Posting holiday snaps via Instagram Stories on Monday, Amy addressed the attention Millie's "strawberry" birthmark seems to be attracting from fans.

"I was so worried about it," she wrote. "It was the unknown for me and wasn't sure what it was, the doctor has checked it and all fine .. a lot of messages people saying it will disappear .. for now I think it makes her special."

The reality TV personality caught up with OK! for an exclusive chat just a couple of weeks ago, where she marvelled over her newborns' physical changes.

"Touch wood, they are really good babies! Billy is a bit needy – like his dad – he likes a cuddle. He would happily sleep in my bed but I am regimented. They are in their snooze pods," she said.

"Millie is more content. It is so mad – they are six weeks old but they are so different. And they look completely different – they don’t look anything alike."

Their births certainly weren't smooth sailing, though, as Amy went on to reveal: "Billy had a prolapsed cord. It’s really rare. The midwife was amazing, she knew the cord was there. Afterwards, he was in the neonatal unit, so [fiancé Billy Delbosq] put me in a wheelchair to go down to the other ward to feed him – he had all wires around him.

"I fed him in the night and went back to the ward. I didn’t want to leave him."

The whole drama was captured for her and Billy's, 40, brand-new ITVBe series, Amy Childs: The Twin Life, which began airing recently.

Telling OK! about her emergency C-section, the star reflected: "Obviously, I had a birth plan – but they don’t always go to plan. Two days after we came back home, Bill said, 'That was traumatic.' They were definitely five days we are never going to forget. But we documented it all for the show and I really can’t wait for everyone to see it. It is an eye-opener.

"I was looking at Bill thinking, 'Oh, my God, what have we been through?!' Being a first-time dad he was not expecting this."

Meanwhile, Amy's resilience was previously lauded by Frankie Essex, who herself is mum to twins Logan and Luella.

"Amy recently shared on Instagram that she was filming again and the babies are only about a week old! I can’t believe she’s filming – she looks unreal," the 35 year old wrote in her OK! column.

"I was honestly like a zombie after the twins. Both Luke [Love] and I were. There was no way in a million years I’d have been able to get back to filming. The twins must be a dream."
