Amy Nuttall, 40, is reportedly insisting on a divorce from her husband of 11 years Andrew Buchan, 44, after going through “unbearable” heartache. It comes amid claims that fellow actor Andrew and the BBC co-star he reportedly left his wife for, Leila Farzad, 40, have now split.

However, the pair’s reported break-up hasn’t changed the Emmerdale actress’ mind in demanding a divorce.

A source claimed to The Sun: “The shock twist is that it sounds as though after all the hurt and heartache, Andrew and Leila have actually split.

“However, that hasn’t done much to change Amy’s mind.

“She’s told him she wants a divorce anyway.

“She’s been publicly humiliated and the pain has been unbearable.”

Leila has since moved back home with her husband James Maizels, in the hopes of rekindling their marriage, according to reports.

The source claimed: “They seem to want to make another go at it — they’re wearing wedding rings again and spending time together to rebuild.”

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Amy, Andrew, and Leila for comment.

Broadchurch star Andrew is said to have left the family home over Christmas before reportedly moving in with Leila.

A source claimed at the time the news broke: “For Andrew to walk away from his family was a huge shock to us all – and Amy is heartbroken.

“Everyone who knows them thought they were going to be together forever.”

Andrew and Leila reportedly fell for each other while working on the BBC drama Better.

Earlier this month, Amy became emotional when asked about reports regarding the split from her husband.

She told MailOnline while fighting back tears: “I can’t talk about it.

“I’m sorry, I can’t say anything.”

Andrew married Amy in 2012, with the former couple being in a relationship since 2007.

The stars announced in 2015 that they had welcomed a son.

The pair spoke publicly about their relationship prior to their split.

Amy previously shared how excited she was for their wedding, while also calling her now-estranged husband “the one”.

Amy told The Mirror: “Andrew is great – I’ve known for ages he’s The One.

“He’ll kill me if I say anything about the wedding.”

Andrew also touched on how well their relationship worked previously due to Amy also being an actor.

He said to Express.co.uk: “It definitely helps that Amy’s an actor. Who else would be OK with the absences or with you doing theatre on Christmas Eve? It helps so much if someone gets it.”
