Motherland’s Anna Maxwell Martin is dating ex-Columbia Records boss Ferdy Unger-Hamilton, MailOnline can reveal.

The Line of Duty actress, 45, was spotted kissing Ferdy, 51, shopping in North London and the couple linked arms as they spent the day together.

Ferdy is a music executive and former label boss who left his role as president of Columbia Records UK in November after six years following his signing of successful artists George Ezra and Rag’n’Bone Man.

Ferdy wore a colourful patchwork jumper for his outing with Anna while she was dressed in a navy jumper and coat with pink trousers.

The couple shared a kiss as they stepped out in North London, where Ferdy resides.    

Ferdy is a hugely respected figure in the music industry, helping to develop the successful careers of chart sensation George Ezra and Rag’n’Bone Man.

He described his working style in an interview with Music Week, saying ‘I like it in a record company when the staff are close to the artists.’

Prior to his six years at Columbia Records, Ferdy was president at music label Polydor for seven years, where he worked with the likes of Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Years and Years, and Take That.

Their relationship is Anna’s first since her split from cameraman Rich Cornelius, whom she met while filming Sky police comedy Code 404.

Anna last shared a black and white image on Instagram in August of her kissing Rich’s cheek, captioning the post with two love heart emojis.

She previously uploaded a photo of the ex-couple smiling in a selfie, accompanying the picture with three heart signs.

Anna was married to Notting Hill, Venus, and My Cousin Rachel director Roger Michell, who died last year aged 65.

The former couple, who were married from 2002 to 2020, share two daughters, Maggie and Nancy. 

Roger is also a father to children Rosanna and Harry with ex-wife Kate Buffery.

She announced their separation during an interview with You magazine, saying: ‘I groomed him to fall in love with me. But you know, we aren’t together anymore.

‘Our marriage has ended and we’ve been separated for quite some time. I haven’t spoken about it because it isn’t fair on all the people involved.

‘There are four children to think about. It’s taken an enormous amount of time, but we are all getting through it in a healthy way.’  

Asked at the time how she was coping on her own, Anna added: ‘I’m definitely not a single working mother. Roger is amazing. I feel incredibly supported.

‘He is great and we also have a brilliant nanny and my mum helps out with the girls, so all is fine.

‘Roger was and is very special in my life… When I met him he felt like my person, although things don’t always work out. But you get on with life.’
