Ant McPartlin branded a 'hero' after rescuing four dogs

‘He was a real hero’: Ant McPartlin is branded a ‘true gent’ for ‘rescuing four dogs from a busy road’ after female owner collapsed while walking them through London park

Ant McPartlin has been branded a ‘hero’ after stopping four dogs from running into a busy road.

The TV presenter, 47, who was enjoying a stroll with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett and their pet pooches, reportedly jumped into action when he saw a dog walker collapse in Richmond Park and drop the animals’ leads.

Ant returned them to the dog walker and checked the woman was ok before carrying on his stroll.

One person who saw the incident unfold said: ‘The moment the woman collapsed the dogs all ran off in different directions. Ant immediately sprang into action to round them all up.’

They added to The Sun: ‘He was a real hero as they could have easily run into oncoming cars.

‘He returned them to the woman, checked she was OK and helped her to her feet like a true gent.’

Aside from his and Anne-Marie’s Maltipoos, Milo and Bumble, Ant was also walking his pet Labrador, Hurley, who he shares with his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.

It comes after Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec, plus judges Amanda Holden , Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli , arrived for the latest auditions in style in a teaser clip for Saturday’s show.

The group shunned fancy limos and helicopters and instead rocked up to the London Palladium in personalised Tuk Tuks, with both Dec and Bruno in the driving seat.

They certainly appeared to be enjoying the ride, with an enthusiastic Dec even bellowing to his megaphone-brandishing co-star: ‘Lets get the Tuk out of here!’ as they sped off down the streets of London.

But while the hosts and his fellow judges braved the chill and headed out on the road, Simon Cowell opted for a relaxing bubble bath instead – complete with rubber duck.

In the humorous first look clip ahead of the latest show, Dec is seen presenting a yellow and black motorised rickshaw, dubbed ‘Tyneside Taxis’ to a skeptical Ant.

Ant then responds: ‘I don’t get it, why?’ with an enthusiastic Dec pointing out that Tuk Tuks are ‘all the rage’, with ‘all the kids going mad for them!’

However, Ant is forced to confirm to his confused pal that kids are going crazy for video sharing platform ‘Tik Tok’ as opposed to Tuk Tuks.

Despite the mix up, the Geordie duo decide to make the most of the mode of transport and head out on the road where they soon come across Amanda, Alesha and Bruno in their own Tuk Tuk, which was decorated with blue, white and red colours.

As the hosts drive past, Ant yelled: ‘Get a move on, for Tuk’s sake!’ leaving Amanda and Alesha cackling away.

Meanwhile, as the group headed to the auditions, they wondered where music mogul Simon had got to, with Alesha speculating ‘I reckon he’s having a nice, hot warm bath!’

And her prediction proved to be correct as the scene then cut to Simon having a soak in a bubble-filled tub.

Wearing his sunglasses, he can be seen speaking to his Union Jack-clad rubber duck, remarking: ‘I didn’t like it, I loved it!’
