Arnold Schwarzenegger involved in car accident after bicyclist swerved into his lane

Arnold Schwarzenegger was reportedly involved in a car accident after a cyclist swerved into his lane over the weekend.

The incident is said to have taken place on Sunday morning at San Vicente Boulevard and Burlingame Avenue in Brentwood, California.

Arnold, 75, was reported to have collided with a female cyclist, after she “swerved in his lane and made contact with his vehicle”, before he could hit his brakes.

The Terminator star was said not to have been driving fast, and was subsequently seen speaking with the police, who arrived at the scene at 10:30am local time.

Three eyewitnesses also talked to the police as they confirmed the incident.

The cyclist was said to be left with minor injuries, and was taken to hospital by first responders where she was confirmed to be in a stable condition.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Arnold was concluded to not be at fault in the collision.

No alcohol and drugs have been suspected, or crime, putting the incident down to a “simple traffic accident”.

Following the incident, Arnold, who is an avid cyclist himself, reportedly took the bicycle to a nearby shop to have it repaired.

OK! has approached Arnold's representative for comment.

Just last month, Arnold was involved in another car accident that left one party “badly injured” after they collided with the actor’s SUV truck.

The Hollywood star’s vehicle rolled on top of a Toyota Prius in a collision on Sunset Boulevard at around 4.35pm Pacific Time on 21 January.

Four cars were reported to have been involved in the collision. Police made no arrests as they again ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the incident.

Officer Drake Madison told Daily Mail: "Neither alcohol or drugs are suspected as a factor in this collision. All parties remained at scene. No further information will be made available."

The female owner of the Toyota Prius involved in the collision was left “bleeding heavily from the head” and was taken to hospital afterwards, according to TMZ.

A spokesperson for Arnold said he managed to escape uninjured and remained at the scene afterwards.

An LAPD spokesperson told PA: "There was a collision about 4.35 on Sunset and Allenford Avenue.

"It was a four-vehicle traffic collision (and) fire departments and paramedics transported one female to a local hospital with an abrasion to her head.

"Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected as a factor in this and all parties remained at the scene."
