Avril Lavigne and Tyga are most unexpected couple of the year so far as they kiss
Avril Lavigne seemingly confirmed her romance with rapper Tyga this week as they shared a kiss at a party during Paris Fashion Week.
With each changing season, the world’s elite takes to the fashion capitals of the world, where they are pictured front row at some of the biggest shows.
This year’s proceedings have seen celebrities like Love Island host Maya Jama enjoy the French capital alongside British staples like David Beckham and Victoria Beckham.
Millie Court was also in attendance and bought a luxury bag on the trip, while Zendaya and Sophie Turner were snapped in graphic prints during the Louis Vuitton show.
During the Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party, Complicated singer Avril, 38, locked lips with Tyga, 33, who put his arms around her.
The couple were first romantically linked last week, but they seem as loved-up as ever despite the short time period as they mingled at the party.
Early 2000s icon Avril looked effortlessly chic as she sported an oversized diamond-encrusted hoodie, over-the-knee leather boots and a matching leather bag slung over her shoulder.
In typical Avril fashion, the singer wore sparkly black eye shadow and swatched a soft pink on her lips and cheeks.
Meanwhile, Tyga donned oversized cargo trousers and a matching grey jacket as he stacked silver chains around his neck and donned chunky black shades.
Before her romance with Kylie Jenner’s ex Tyga, Avril was in a relationship with musician Mod Sun, real name Derek Smith, after they met in 2021 while working on the former’s album, Love Sux.
In September, they made the relationship public and were soon pictured on their first red carpet together.
In March 2022, Mod proposed to his girlfriend on a boat on the River Seine in Paris as he shared pictures from the romantic proposal on social media.
In the caption, he gushed: "The day we met I knew you were the one. Together forever til our days are done.
"I had a dream where I proposed in Paris. I pulled out a ring + asked you to wear it. I was on one knee as I looked in your eyes. You're too beautiful for my words to describe.
"I grabbed your hand + took one last breath… I said 'will you marry me?' + she said 'yes'."
"I love you Avril," he added alongside a love heart emoji.
Speaking about the proposal, Avril said: “It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for. We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River.
“We had a violin player, champagne and roses. It felt like time stood still, and it was just the two of us in the moment. I knew we had a very strong unstoppable connection from the first week of writing and working together in the studio. Immediately.”
Mod and Avril called the relationship off earlier this month, with a source close to him telling Page Six that he and Avril “were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour.”
