Blue Peter presenter, 50, looks exactly the same – after finding fame in America

Former Blue Peter star Tim Vincent looks practically identical to his days presenting television in the 90s, bar his stylish silver hair.

The Welsh-born presenter, 50, got his start on children's TV but went on to rub shoulders with Hollywood royalty – he even starred in a soap. Wrexham born Tim was spotted in London's famed Covent Garden on Thursday, 8 June, at the opening of popular steak restaurant Gaucho.

The Blue Peter alum was the picture of laid back style, sporting a navy blue shirt with a white t-shirt peeking through below. He opted for a relaxed suede-look bomber jacket and finished the outfit with a pair of dark jeans. On top of his closely cropped grey hair, the star wore a pair of sunglasses.

Tim first ventured into the spotlight as an actor, getting his start playing alcoholic teenager Billy Ryan in the ITV drama series Children's Ward. He went on to play multiple roles in pantomimes over the years, before a year-long stint as veterinarian Adam Forrester in Emmerdale.

An appearance in the film Sorted saw him star opposite Hollywood heavyweight Tim Curry and former Neighbours actor, Jason Donovan. But it was in 1993 when he became a household name, after starting work as a presenter on the beloved classic, Blue Peter, where often worked with favourites Katy Hill, Anthea Turner and Stuart Miles.

His time on the show saw him impress after competing in the New York Marathon, as well as travelling further afield. Father of two Tim left the iconic children's programme in 1997, but continued working as a presenter on shows including Short Change, Fully Booked and The Clothes Show.

Later, he established himself across the pond in America, working as a reporter for Access Hollywood which saw him regularly rubbing shoulders with A-Listers on the red carpet. He was even pals with icon Robert De Niro who, according to Wales Online, nicknamed him 'Tolerable Tim'.

He presented the famed Miss World contest in 2005 and 2006, before returning to helm it again in 2014 and 2015. He also presented Miss USA IN 2007, and did a stint hosting America's version of the world-renowned hit, Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

After living and working in the United States for a number of years and achieving fame and recognition over there, the one-time actor has since returned to the UK. He has two children, Jasper and Felix, and while his life has changed dramatically over the years, his chiselled good looks and famous smile remain exactly the same.
