Bridgerton cast celebrate series three beginning filming with fun video

Bridgerton’s hotly-anticipated series three has been confirmed as filming gets underway in London.

Netflix announced Bridgerton was back in production with a teaser clip of cast members flashing three fingers to signify the new season.

Adjoa Andoh, who stars as the fierce Lady Dunbury, also made the gesture as she walked past a row of trailers while looking at her phone, with her character's extravagant hairpiece in place.

Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte, flashed a huge grin as she stuck her head out of her trailer to join in, followed by a laughing Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton).

Other cast members who joined in with the announcement included Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), Polly Walker (Lady Featherington), Jessica Madsen (Cressida Cowper) and Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich).

In a caption, the streaming service wrote: "I spy the makings of a new social season. By the looks of things, it would seem the third installment of Bridgerton is officially underway."

One follower wrote: "Counting down the days!" as a second said: "I am screaming!! A third chimed: "God, I am not ready!!!"

While others were quick to point out that actors Kate and Simone had not made an appearance in the short promotional clip.

The sizzling period drama had a record-breaking second season which was released in March leaving fans eagerly waiting for more. However, the new season is set to focus on the budding romance between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.

So, it was only fitting for the footage to end with Luke Newton, opening a carriage door to reveal Nicola Coughlan, who also stars as Lady Whistledown which really got viewers talking.

"NOT LUKE OPENING THE CARRIAGE DOOR FOR NICOLA! adding: "THIS IS THE BEST," A commenter said.

As well as the exciting news that drama has returned, Netflix has revealed that three new cast members will be joining the enticing series.

Daniel Francis who has previously starred in Stay Close, Sam Phillips from The Crown and James Phoon who appeared in Wreck are joining the ensemble of the Regency-era romance.

Marcus will play Marcus Anderson, a “charismatic presence who lights up any room he enters, attracting the notice of certain matriarchs in the ton — and the ire of others”.

Sam, meanwhile, will play Lord Debling, a “genial lord with unusual interests” who still intrigues the ladies of London’s gentry. While James will make his Bridgerton debut as the handsome but dim-witted Harry Dankworth.

It has been reported that Regé-Jean Page is in talks to appear in the third series of Bridgerton.

The 34-year-old captured the hearts of the nation as Simon Basset aka the Duke of Hasting’s on the first season of the hit Netflix show.

However, Regé-Jean did not return for the second season even though his wife Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor still appeared in the series. Yet, fans might have some hope for the Duke’s return in series three.

A source told The Sun that Regé-Jean is in talks to return, as they said: “Regé-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects.

“But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses. Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space.”
