Britney Spears sparks concern after singer erases social media profile
Britney Spears has seemingly decided to deactivate her social media profile, with fans becoming concerned by its sudden disappearance over the weekend.
The 41-year-old singer returned to the limelight last week as she dropped her new collaboration track, Mind Your Business, with Will.i.am.
However, following the release, fans were quick to spot that they could no longer access Britney’s Instagram account.
It seems as if the social media account, which was updated regularly with pictures and videos of the mum-of-two dancing, has disappeared – along with all of her posts.
Now, if you search for Britney’s Instagram profile, you are met with a page that reads: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”

When the Oops… I Did It Again singer’s profile was live, she had a staggering 42 million followers.
However, all of her fans have been left in the dark and have taken to Twitter to air their worries over the star’s sudden social media hiatus.
One wrote: “When @britneyspears deactivated her Instagram. ..it’s ok to disappear until you feel like you again.” (sic)
Another said: “I’m not surprised Britney has deactivated her Instagram, the amount of (sic) so-called fans being rude and nasty about ‘Mind Your Business’ is absolutely horrid !! She owes us nothing, so if you’re a true fan, maybe try be supportive of her.”
A third defended the 41-year-olds decision to deactivate her social media account. They wrote: “But it’s nobody’s business you wouldn’t call police on someone removing their profile off Instagram.

Express.co.uk has reached out to Britney’s representatives for clarification on the current situation.
Britney and Will.i.am released Mind Your Business on Friday – marking the first time the pair had reunited on a song since the release of their 2012 hit, Scream & Shout.
Interestingly, the track is the second song to be released since her 13-year conservatorship came to an end.
The first was her recent collaboration with Elton John, Hold Me Closer.
Following the release of the mash-up, Elton, 76, released a statement that said Britney was truly an icon.
He said: “One of the all-time great pop stars and she sounds amazing on this record. I love her dearly and am delighted with what we’ve created together.”
