Camila Cabello Calls Out Blake Shelton for Mispronouncing Her Name on 'The Voice'
Camila Cabello is joining the coaches table group of big scary red chairs on The Voice, and she already got the memo re: calling out Blake Shelton at every available opportunity. In a new promo for the upcoming season, Camila trolls Blake for not knowing how to correctly pronounce her name.
“You pronounce my name wrong,” she says at the beginning of the below teaser. “He calls me Camelot, Carmichael. Why is it so hard for him?”
Answer the question, Blake!
Anyway, it looks like these two will continue to occasionally butt heads during the season. At least based on Camila encouraging a singer to join Team Gwen instead of Team Blake, prompting this convo:
The Voice premieres September 19 on NBC, and Camila’s fellow coaches are Blake Shelton (obviously), Gwen Stefani, and John Legend. This is Camila’s first time as a coach, but she did show up during season 21 as an advisor for Team Legend. Also, let’s not forget that she literally started her career on The X Factor, so she definitely has experience with singing competitions and should be a pretty good mentor!
