Cardi B Throws Lavish Car-Themed Party for Son Wave

The ‘WAP’ hitmaker unapologetically goes ‘a little extra’ for her son Wave’s 1st birthday as she admits she wasn’t blessed with the same privilege growing up.

AceShowbiz –Cardi B is spoiling her children with extravagant lifestyle and she isn’t going to apologize for it. The Bronx femcee, who admitted that she “can be a little extra” when it comes to her kids, has just thrown a lavish birthday party for her son Wave.

To celebrate her and Offset‘s second child together turning 1 year old on Sunday, September 4, the celebrity couple recently hosted a car-themed bash attended by other kids, including their 4-year-old daughter Kulture. Cardi documented the party on her Instagram Stories and tweets.

The lavish celebration featured epic food stations, elaborate desserts, a DJ, arcade games and more. The couple and their children wore custom denim outfits for the party.

Following the party, the Grammy Award-winning raptress shared a reason why she goes all out for her children. She tweeted on Monday, “I know I can be a little extra when it comes to my kids but I ain’t really had s**t growing up soooo yea imma ball.”

Cardi’s sister Hennessy was on hand to celebrate her nephew’s milestone and she gifted him with a new customized car. “Happy birthday WAVE !!! Auntie LOVES YOU,” she wrote alongside a video of the tot having a blast behind the wheel of his perfectly sized SUV.

Meanwhile, Offset gave a birthday shout-out to his son on his Instagram page. “MY BIG WAVE IS 1 YEARS OLD TODAY I LOVE YOU BIG MAN !!” he captioned photos of the little boy, including a throwback picture of him holding the newborn baby.

Despite spoiling her kids for their birthdays, Cardi has said that she doesn’t forget to make them understand their privilege. In an interview with Vogue Singapore published in July, the 29-year-old explained, “They need to know to never feel comfortable. Don’t ever feel like, ‘I’m going to get it because I’m Cardi and Offset’s kid.’ “

“They are never going to know what struggle feels like, so they might not have that hunger I had to leave the streets,” she added. “Even though my kids are well-off, I want them to know that when you work for things and achieve it, it’s more respected-especially when people see that you bust your a** for it.”
