Carrie says ideas to get her and Boris' daughter off her dummy suck

EMILY PRESCOTT: Carrie Johnson says ideas to get her and Boris’ 16-month-old daughter Romy off her dummy… suck!

When she turned to Instagram for parenting advice, Boris Johnson’s wife Carrie didn’t quite get the constructive feedback she was looking for.

Carrie, 35, pictured below with 16-month-old daughter Romy, asked her followers for tips on how to wean her off the dummy.

‘Top options seem to be: cold turkey (and wine for mother),’ Carrie said on her Instagram story before adding: ‘And the most dark of all, have a full-on dummy funeral in the garden and bury it.’

Given that Boris and Carrie are currently living in a property on the swish Daylesford Estate, I don’t think establishing a backyard dummy graveyard would go down too well.

BBC’s Huw Edwards is a Royal swot

BBC newsreader Huw Edwards, 61

Newsreader Huw Edwards is being ultra-conscientious when it comes to covering the Coronation.

Huw, 61, tells me he has been brushing up on his Coronation knowledge by buying old magazines from 1937 and 1953 on eBay to see how the press covered the event in the past.

With the big day less than a month away, Huw, right, says: ‘I’m excited and nervous. We still don’t know exactly what’s in the Coronation service – apart from the Coronation itself!’

He’s known for confronting the world’s most violent criminals, so Ross Kemp must be much more comfortable with his new venture – a clothing range named Cempa, an Old English word for warrior.

I wonder if Ross, 58, will be wearing the brand for his return to acting in Channel 5’s new thriller, Blindspot?
