Carrie Underwood To Perform At Grand Ole Opry In Celebration Of 15th Anniversary
Carrie Underwood will celebrate the 15th anniversary of her membership in the Grand Ole Opry with a performance at both Grand Ole Opry shows on May 13.
The country music icon was inducted in to the Grand Ole Opry on May 8, 2008, by fellow Oklahoman Garth Brooks.
“Stepping onto that stage is nothing short of magical,” Underwood told People. “I felt that everything I had ever accomplished or wished for brought me to that moment.”
“All of the women that came before us paved the way for us to be able to do what we are doing today, and the Opry is such a huge part of that incredible legacy,” she added. “In a world where everything moves so quickly, and we are so used to instant gratification, the Opry is a beautiful piece of our history as country artists that we must continue to honor and cherish.”
Deana Carter and Michael Ray are among a lineup of artists who are scheduled to perform during the celebrations on May 13.
Tickets are on sale now at (615) 871-OPRY and opry.com.
Fans can also tune in for a one-hour portion of the night’s first show that will air live at 9/8 pm CT and will re-air at 12/11 p.m. CT, as Opry Live on Circle Television.
The show will livestream on Circle’s social channels and be heard on SiriusXM’s Willie’s Roadhouse channel 59. The shows will air in their entirety on WSM Radio.
