Claudia Winkleman makes stylish appearance with rarely-seen husband

Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman made a rare appearance with her husband Kris Thykier on Tuesday, 7 June. The duo were in attendance at the Royal Academy of Arts' Summer Exhibition Preview Party at London's Burlington House.

At the event, Claudia stunned as she wore a black velvet blazer with a plain white T-shirt underneath. The 51 year old completed the outfit with a pair of flared trousers and a plain black clutch bag.

As for her husband Kris Thykier, 51, he complimented her outfit as he wore a navy blue trouser suit as he supported his wife. Kris and Claudia have been married since 2000, when they tied the knot at Marylebone Town Hall in London.

The duo also have three children together their eldest is Jake who is 19, Matilda is the middle child aged 16, and Arthur is the youngest at 11. It has been a huge 12 months for Claudia who fronted the new BBC reality show The Traitors.

The Traitors has proved to be a huge success and it has recently won two BAFTA awards. It scooped the gong for best Reality and Constructed Factual show, with the second going to Claudia who won for Entertainment Performance.

As Claudia accepted the awards, she was overcome with emotion. In her acceptance speech she said: "Sorry I don't know what to say. I know it's ridiculous, I can't get emotional because I'm wearing so much eyeliner… Thank you so much.

"Thank you so much. I can't believe it." She also told her fans that she will be "forever grateful" for the BAFTA award.

Claudia and her husband were also in attendance at the BAFTA Television Craft and BAFTA Television Awards Nominees Party back in April. At that event Claudia made a statement with her fringe, that came so low you could only just see her eyes.

She spoke to OK! at the event where she joked that her forehead is actually "wrinkled like a Shar Pei" underneath her famous fridge. She jokingly said: "It's never been cleaned. There are small creatures under there.


"There are parrots and squirrels. It should be protected by UNESCO for the wildlife."

Claudia could get used to the BAFTA awards as The Traitors has been confirmed for series two the BBC confirmed. The show went down a storm and had 34M views on BBC iPlayer.
