Coleen Rooney joins Coronation Street stars for first public event since Wagatha trial
Coleen Rooney dazzled fans on Thursday evening as she graced the red carpet for the first time since winning her Wagatha Christie legal battle against Rebekah Vardy earlier this year.
Rubbing shoulders with Coronation Street stars that included Tina O’Brien and Brooke Vincent, the glamorous mum-of-four walked the carpet as part of the Football For Change Gala 2022.
Coleen’s husband Wayne is currently in the United States where he is coaching Major League Soccer team DC United, meaning the WAG was left to walk the carpet solo for the occasion.
Opting for a chic figure-hugging black mini dress with a cut out shoulder detail and chain strap, the star looked every bit the glamorous WAG as she smiled for the cameras before heading inside the event.
The night itself is the brainchild of Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher who raided his contacts book and pulled together an all-star line-up to raise vital funds to support projects up and down the country through Football for Change.
So far, the initiative has already raised £350,000 thanks to a lavish celebrity lunch and then a dinner, held at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, last November.
Thursday's black-tie gala in Manchester is the latest high profile event aiming to raise the bar even higher and rake in another £350,000 for the charity that is helping so many people throughout the UK.
Joining Coleen for the glamorous night out were stars such as Samia Longchambon, who opted for a brown figure hugging sheath dress complete with statement thigh slit as she attended alongside her husband skating pro Sylvain Longchambon.
Meanwhile Brooke Vincent amped up the glamour with a floor length black gown complete with a deep plunging bodice and a sweetheart neckline.
Completing her look with a smokey eye and a relaxed but chic up-do, the star also carried a unique studded clutch bag for her night at the swanky event.
Not one to be outdone by her fellow Corrie stars, Tina O’Brien also dressed to impress as she attended the gala, as she opted for a floor length fuchsia gown, with a leg baring slit to show off her toned pins.
Wearing her hair in a half-up half-down style, Tina shared a behind the scenes snap of her outfit on Instagram prior to attending the lavish event.
Tina’s on-screen daughter Lucy Fallon also pulled out the stops for her nigh tout, as she opted for a trendy black mini dress complete with ruffled peplum and a YSL clutch bag.
Guests at the event were treated to a delicious meal before partying the night away to music from headliner Noel Gallagher and the flying birds, while further sets were also performed by former Spice Girl Melanie C and Emeli Sande.
