Daisy May Cooper sends internet wild as she completely fangirls over Ben Shephard

Good Morning Britain frontman Ben Shephard claimed he felt as though he was on the "most public Tinder date" ever when actress and comedian Daisy May Cooper appeared as a guest on today's show (6 February).

Having admitted she's always had a thing for the 48 year old presenter, Ben's co-host Susanna Reid told viewers: "She's in the dressing room at the moment. Daisy of course has a massive crush on Ben Shephard."

"Well, massive?" Ben humbly asks=ed, to which Susanna shut him down, reminding him that 36 year old This Country star Daisy dedicated her entire autobiography to him.

"She's going to meet you for the very first time!" Susanna explained. "Which is why you're here on a Monday, confusing everybody thinking it's a Thursday."

"I feel like it's the most public Tinder date ever, this," Ben teased in return, to which Susanna suggested that his wife Annie wouldn't find about the "affair".

Later in the show, with Whitney Houston's hit 'I Will Always Love You' being blasted through the studio, The Masked Singer star Daisy was escorted to the set, running onto stage donning a blanket littered with pictures of Ben's face.

Reaching in for a hug whilst both seemingly holding back the tears, GMB hunk Ben jokingly asked producers: "Can we just have a moment? Can we go to a break whilst we take this moment?"

He then told the star: "You're shaking, Daisy!"

Sitting down later in the show to chat with hosts, mum-of-one Daisy, 36 – who this weekend was unmasked as 'Otter' on the hit ITV show – told Ben she believes he's the "most beautiful man in the world".

"It's taken a long time for us to meet properly, Daisy," Ben told her. "You've had a huge influence and impact on my life since you professed your affections for me."

Susanna asked: "When did this all start?"

"When I was sort-of younger, I think," an emotional Daisy replied. "You were on my television and I've never looked back since. You are the most beautiful man in the world.

"You're chiselled from marble!" she joked.

"Do you think so? That's really lovely!" he gushed back.

And fans of the early-morning news show have been left in bits following Daisy and Ben's hilarious meeting.

"We all need @benshephard hug and blanket on a Monday morning – Daisy May Cooper @GMB," one viewer tweeted.

Another added: "Why the f**k am I getting tears at Daisy May Cooper meeting her idol Ben Shepherd for fuck sake #GMB".
