Davina McCall shares emotional video as she wins big

Davina McCall, 55, showed off her sensational figure at last night’s annual British Book Awards ceremony.
The former Big Brother presenter was glowing as she stepped out onto the carpet of London’s Grosvenor House to pose for paparazzi photographs.
The 55-year-old opted to wear a figure-hugging, wide-legged red jumpsuit for the occasion.
The evening all-in-one featured a flattering bandeau design and a detached, structured cape.
Oozing elegance, the outfit had zip-down detailing at the back and was accessorised by a pair of understated, pointed court heels and a shiny clutch bag.

As well as wowing attendees with her outfit, McCall turned back the clock with her dewy complexion, minimal make-up and signature red lip.
She also sported a stunning tan and wore her hair in an elegant low bun with a plaited design.
During the course of the evening, the author came out top dog as she scooped the grand prize — the coveted Book of the Year award for her non-fiction read, Menapausing.
Judges praised the “impressive” book, co-written by McCall and Dr Naomi Potter, and said it “captured the zeitgeist of 2022, shining a light on women’s health and helping to normalise talking about menopause”.

In a video posted to her Instagram Feed, the star was visibly shocked to receive the top gong.
In the clip, McCall can be seen holding her hands to her mouth in sheer disbelief before making her way on stage to collect the coveted prize.
In the video’s caption, she wrote: “What a night!!!! Such an honour to have an invite to @_thebookseller awards .. then to be nominated.
“And then actually win two awards, and one of them be actual ‘Book of the Year’,” she continued.

“I’ve only just pulled myself together enough to type. This means so much to me… Naomi and I feel it’s our mission to get the message out so you can all make informed decisions about your menopause journey and your bodies.

“To help you not feel alone or invisible.. and give you hope and the future,” the caption concluded.

The judges who were responsible for crowning McCall and Dr Potter as worthy winners included Krishnan Guru-Murthy, broadcaster Anita Rani, and DJ Vick Hope.

Elsewhere, Bonnie Garmus was awarded Author of the Year at the British Book Awards for debut novel, Lessons in Chemistry.Heartstopper’s Alice Oseman also claimed the Illustrator of the Year award and was lauded as “Britain’s first truly global breakout children’s superstar in two decades”.
