Demi Lovato & BluBlood Entertainment Rock Dubai!

Demi Lovato left fans buzzing with excitement after her electrifying performance this past Saturday at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai.  Demi’s performance was a testament to the power of music to bring people together, with the event attracting fans of all ages from across the region.

Fans were treated to an electric and high-energy performance with Lovato flawlessly adding a gritty and edgier rock sound to her tracks including renditions of Sorry Not Sorry, Cool For The Summer, and Confident.

But it was her vulnerability before performing her ballad 29, a song that she wrote about the struggles of mental health (and ex Wilmer Valderrama), that had the audience captivated when Demi opened up to the audience and shared some heartfelt words about the meaning behind the lyrics:

“It was really hard for me to write this song.  I was in a bit of a dark place.  It was really vulnerable for me to write this song and to release it. And when I did, so many of you guys shared your stories with me that I just wanted to say thank you. And if you relate to this song, I just want you to know that you’re not alone; that I see you, I hear you and I love you. And I’m sorry if anybody does relate to this song, nobody should have to, but this is what music is for.  This is why I made this song so that you have it.  This is for you.”

The concert was organized by the region’s leading promoters, BluBlood, who noted that the event was a great success and a testament to their commitment to continue bringing world-class entertainment from all international markets to this region. With decades of experience, and now in only a few short years, the company, led by the trailblazing power couple, Osman Osman and Shaaista Khan Osman (MD and CEO respectively), have continued their reputation by building onto their portfolio of an impressive track record for creating immersive experiences and bringing some of the best global names from around the world to the region including the likes of comedian Jo Koy, James Blunt, The Wailers, Wayne Brady, Atif Aslam, and many more.

With the stakes always riding high in the entertainment economy, we know just how challenging and demanding the sector is, and everyone will confirm it’s certainly not for the faint hearted. In a bold and ambitious move, BluBlood expanded their already successful decade and a half old business with roots in South Africa and relocated their family to the Middle East in 2019 and immediately set to work to cement themselves as the forerunners in the industry and certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Always with their finger on the pulse, within only a few short months in the UAE and in the midst of the pandemic, BluBlood successfully curated and hosted the first live indoor music concert with “Covid-consciousness” in place in the region in August 2020.  The event was a game-changer in those unprecedented times and BluBlood were acknowledged by the Dubai government for being an important cog in opening up the industry again in the region.  To recognize the contributions and investment into the country, the powerhouse couple joined other distinguished entrepreneurs and celebrities and received the coveted Golden Visa. Osman Osman shared:

“Our vow that each person’s patronage at every single show coming out to support their favorite artist will leave you absolutely enthralled and always wanting more as it is certainly the Blu Blood experience.”

Shaaista Khan Osman stated:

“We’re in the business of happiness.  Blu Blood is all about ensuring an absolute royal experience; bringing happiness to our supporters and ensuring our Blu Blooders are always met with the best of the best from all around the world.  Bringing to the stage the best entertainment and artists, show after show #TheBluBloodWay, which is certainly the epitome of happiness.”

A little birdie shared that Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, is on the cards for later this year. With plans to expand into other regions and setting new standards for live performances, with Blu Blood at the helm, it’s clear that the events industry is in good hands.

BluBlood has been woven into the tapestry of the global entertainment scene, the stage has been set and the show will carry on.
