AceShowbizDonald Trump is not returning to Twitter soon. Although his account has been restored following Elon Musk’s takeover, the former president declared that he will not go back to the blue bird app until the SpaceX founder calls him “daddy.”

“Elon rolled out the red carpet and is begging me to return to the failing Twitter, but Truth is special!” the 76-year-old said of his alternative social media platform, Truth Social. “We’ve got the best ratings of any social media platform!”

“Elon thinks about me noon and night because he needs me more than I need him,” the politician added. “He craves Trump so much he can taste it. It’s fun to watch him grovel at my feet! Hey Elon, I’ll come back when you call me daddy!!”

Trump, who is running for president in 2024, initially vowed that he would not return to Twitter even if he was permitted, and instead prefers to post to the Truth Social. The twice impeached former commander-in-chief told Fox News, “I am going to be staying on Truth.”

Trump’s Twitter account is back after Musk posted a poll on Friday, November 18, asking its users if Trump should be reinstated. The results, which were derived from 15 million votes, showed 51.8% in favor and 48.2% opposed.

Later that night, Musk tweeted, “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated.” The Tesla CEO, who finally bought the microblogging app for $44 billion, added, “Vox Populi, Vox Dei.” It means “the voice of the people is the voice of God” translated from Latin.

Back in May, Musk announced in a video conference, “I would reverse the permanent ban.” He continued, “I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump. I think that was a mistake. It alienated the country and did not result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”
