EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace shows off ring for first time since ‘engagement to carpenter’

EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace was photographed stepping out for the first time since news of her reported engagement broke.

Jessie has portrayed the iconic Walford character Kat Slater one and off since 2000, having first left in 2005 before she returned from 2010 to 2016 and again from 2018 to the present.

News broke of the potential engagement on Sunday, with a source claiming that her boyfriend Justin Gallwey has put a ring on it after “at least a year together.”

Recently, the actress was snapped out and about with her 18 year old daughter Tallulah who is currently learning to drive in a white VW Polo.

Jessie was pictured taking a nap in the passenger seat before the mummy-daughter duo stopped off at a Shell petrol station in north London for a £4.99 bottle of Waitrose Rich and Intense Italian Red wine.

She sported comfy UGG sliders, a fluffy black coat and a bandana as she walked out the petrol station.

She was also pictured wearing a gold wedding band, which seemingly supports the notion that she and Justin are engaged.

Yesterday, a source told The Sun that they are getting hitched after at least a year together," with a source close to the TV star telling the outlet: "Jessie has been proudly wearing the ring."

Shortly after rising to fame on the BBC soap, Jessie called it quits with her boyfriend of three years, ex-criminal Paul Whitworth, who was based in Majorca.

"We split up because it just wasn't working out,” a biography by Emily Herbert claimed at the time.

After a brief relationship with 25 year old American Andy Burton, Jessie met policeman Dave Morgan who accompanied her to court when she was facing drink-driving charges.

They soon fell for one another, and in 2004, Jessie gave birth to Tallulah Lilac, though their relationship ended soon after.

Following her split from Dave, Jessie got engaged to catering boss Vincent Morse after just three months of dating, which sparked her move to Surrey, where they planned their wedding at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond.

Just days before their wedding, Jessie discovered that Vince had been messaging a former partner, which naturally prompted their split.

Jessie’s next relationship was with musician Tim Arnold for four years, though Tim called it quits after growing tired of being in the spotlight.

Jessie then dated Paul Kempin for around two years, but the couple called it quits in 2019 before she met her current partner, and potential fiance, Justin.

On-screen, Jessie’s character Kat has been involved with the likes of Shane Richie’s Alfie Moon, Michael Higgs’ Andy Hunter, and most recently, Steve McFadden’s Phil Mitchell.
