EastEnders star Michelle Collins gives health update after ‘worrying’ hospital dash
EastEnders star Michelle Collins has given fans an update after she was rushed to hospital earlier this week.
Michelle, 60, who played iconic character Cindy Beale on EastEnders from 1988 to 1998, was rushed to hospital on Monday for an unknown, but "worrying" health issue.
At the time, she took to Twitter to say: "Thank you @nhs @RoyalFreeNHS for seeing me this morning at 9 am ,been a Worrying time but hopefully now all ok."
Michelle then added: "When it works the @NHSEngland is fantastic ! Don’t destroy it #Tories #savethenhs."
On Wednesday, she once again took to the social media platform to give fans an update on how she's doing as she also shared pictures of her being back at work.
She wrote: "Great day #filming in #Northam . I am very well ! #Thankyou . Great cast and crew !"
The pictures showed the actress smiling from ear to ear as she enjoyed the countryside, filming for a new project.
Michelle is currently working on a new movie called Melodrive, in which she is playing Nora.
The film focuses on a musician who bumps into his high school sweetheart while on a road trip, which he embarked on after his marriage ended due to an emotional affair.
In the beginning of March this year, Michelle revealed another health problem as she'd got "violently sick" after accidentally eating a daffodil.
The actress had taken to her Twitter page to retweet a news report about how a supermarket store was "sorry for displaying daffodils alongside veg".
Michelle added to the tweet: "Exactly what happened to me I ate one thinking it was a spring onion! I was violently sick after."
Elaborating on the story on Good Morning Britain, the soap star said: "Well I was doing these very silly cooking videos in lockdown and I was doing a stir fry.
"I went to the supermarket and brought home, what I thought, was a spring onion.
"Cooked it, chopped it up, put it in the wok, had a few tastes, the next thing – I was running to the loo and was violently, violently sick."
To which host Ben Shephard said: "You made that mistake because they were close together, you mistook the daffodil for a spring onion!"
Last year, Michelle tied the knot with her fiancé Michael Davidson in August, after 10 years of dating, in a low-key ceremony in London.
The couple were joined by their closest family and friends, including Michelle’s former co-star Adam Woodyatt, as they exchanged vows at midday on 8 August, 2023.
