EastEnders star Ricky Champ and wife Sammy welcome baby boy via C-section: We are obsessed

EastEnders star Ricky Champ's wife Sammy has announced they've welcome a baby boy together.

The 41 year old actor's other half took to her Instagram stories to announce the happy news as she explained her waters broke two weeks earlier than planned.

Sharing a snap of the medication she's on following the birth of their second child, she wrote: "Tell me you just had a c-section without telling me you just had a c-section," followed by a smiling emoji.

Sammy, who is also mum to daughter Beatrice, four, with Ricky, followed this up with an explanation as she added: "My waters broke 2 weeks early (the night i got my date which was supposed to be July 6th!)

"Baby boy is here and well. And we are obsesses," alongside five blue heart emojis.

Ricky and Sammy are yet to share a photo of their new arrival, however.

The news of their son's birth comes after the pair announced that they were expecting earlier this year.

Ricky posted an image of one of his then-unborn baby’s scans, which showed the little one’s arms and legs bundled up underneath it.

Over the top of it, the EastEnders favourite, who has featured in a hard-hitting breast cancer storyline on the soap recently, placed a wooden disc that was engraved with: “Baby Champ due July 2022.”

He arranged the sweet announcement with a peach gingham fabric underneath the pictures and some eucalyptus leaves displayed to the side.

Ricky and Samantha got married in 2016 in an intimate wedding ceremony.

They welcomed baby daughter Beatrix a year later.
