EMILY PRESCOTT: Heartbreak for Amelia, the 'most beautiful Royal'
EMILY PRESCOTT: Heartbreak for the ‘most beautiful Royal’ Lady Amelia Windsor after split from Etonian boyfriend
She’s been called the most beautiful member of the Royal Family – but, sadly, that hasn’t made Lady Amelia Windsor immune to heartache.
Even though the 26-year-old model couldn’t be more alluring, I hear she has recently split from the dashing old Etonian she was dating.
Clearly, her beauty, connections, jet-set life and the fact that she’s 43rd in line to the throne and is the cousin of William and Harry wasn’t enough for him.
Amelia has been a cover girl for Vogue and Tatler – and now features on the front of the European fashion and arts magazine French Fries.
Lady Amelia Windsor, who has been called the most beautiful member of the Royal Family, has suffered heartbreak after splitting from her boyfriend
Over the summer she has been enjoying herself – she is pictured here having a good time at Glastonbury Festival
Inside, she confesses her twenties have been ‘madness’ – and alludes to having had tough times.
But she seems to be coping, saying: ‘You have to learn not to be overwhelmed by life and… try to keep dancing.’
She’s certainly been shaking off her sadness at this summer’s festivals – I’ve seen her dancing at Glastonbury and raving with the Rolling Stones at Hyde Park!
Sarah, Duchess of York, has just finished her second novel and says it’s out next year.
No wonder she’s taking an interest in the long list for this year’s Booker Prize – awarded to the best novel written in English.
‘I’m rooting for Alan Garner,’ she says. ‘It’s long overdue recognition for someone too often pigeonholed as just a children’s writer.’
If Garner can make the list at the grand old age of 87, maybe Fergie, 62, hasn’t ruled herself out of making it onto next year’s!
George such a Scilly boy
Prince George’s official ninth birthday photograph may have looked as if it were taken on a Caribbean island.
But the beach backdrop was, I can reveal, a small island off Cornwall.
For their July holiday, the Cambridges chose Tresco, one of the Scilly Isles and once a favourite haunt of Princess Diana.
This photo of Prince George, released earlier this year to mark his ninth birthday, was actually taken on the island of Tresco in the Scilly Isles
The family spent a fortnight on the car-free island owned by Prince Charles.
Travelling by helicopter, the Cambridges and their spaniel, Orla, are thought to have stayed at Dolphin House, a cosy granite rectory in a walled garden.
William’s memories of Tresco go back to 1989 when, aged six, he holidayed there with his father, mother and brother.
