Eminem’s Daughter Alaina Scott Ends Speculations He Skipped Her Wedding, Reveals His Role

In a new interview, the Detroit’s rapper’s adopted daughter reveals that her famous dad actually had a big role at her ‘Great Gatsby glam’-themed wedding to boyfriend Matt Moeller.

AceShowbizEminem‘s adopted daughter Alaina Scott has denied speculations that the rapper didn’t attend her wedding on June 9. In a new interview, Alaina revealed that her famous dad actually had a big role on her special day.

“My dad walked me down the aisle,” Alaina told PEOPLE on Thursday, June 15. “He wasn’t going to miss that.”

Gushing over the rapper, she went on to say, “None of this would have been possible without my Dad. I’m beyond blessed. Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives.”

The 30-year-old went on to detail her “Great Gatsby glam”-themed wedding to longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller in Shelby Township, Mich. Alaina revealed that the intimate ceremony, which was attended by 125 close friends and family, was “super untraditional” and “important to [the couple],” so they didn’t “allow many plus ones.” She added, “Our wedding was something out of a movie.”

Alaina also revealed that Eminem’s brother, Nathan “Nate” Kane Mathers, performed his song “Slide On Over” for the newlyweds, adding that it was “really fun.” It was also said that the glam wedding featured “2000 white roses” lining the aisle, as well as 1940 and 1947 Packard limousine cars at the ceremony. “It’s just very rewarding to see all your hard work come to life,” she noted.

For the big day, Alaina stunned in a beautiful mermaid-style gown with off-the-shoulder draping and a glamorous tulle train, designed by Katerina Bocci. As for Matt, he looked dapper in a white tuxedo jacket atop black pants.

The couple’s bridesmaids and groomsmen, meanwhile, wore black from head to toe. Among the maids of honor was Alaina’s 27-year-old sister, Hailie Jade Mathers.

Fans started speculating that Em might skip the wedding as he wasn’t featured in any pictures that Alaina shared on her Instagram page. “Not me zooming in to look for Eminem,” one social media user wrote, while someone else asking, “Where’s Marshall?”
