England WAGs touch down in Qatar in designer gear for World Cup like no other

The glamorous wives and girlfriends of the England football team have landed in Qatar for a World Cup like no other.

The ladies touched down in the capital Doha laden with multiple suitcases and clad in designer gear late on Sunday night UK time.

Amongst the group were goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan Davison and defender Kyle Walker’s wife Annie Kilner.

Megan, 26, was wearing a black Bow & Bo sweatshirt and carried a Hermes Birkin bag as she smiled for the cameras at the airport.

Megan, who showed off her sparkling engagement and wedding rings, married Everton star Jordan in 2020 before celebrating with a stunning ceremony in the Maldives in July.

The pair share son Arlo together and are said to have been together since they were 14.

Meanwhile, Annie dressed casually in a black T-shirt and joggers, which she teamed with a black Chanel handbag and New York Yankees cap as she pushed a trolley with four gigantic suitcases through the airport.

Annie secretly tied the knot with her long-term partner Kyle, who plays for Manchester City, late last year.

The couple share three sons together, Roman, Riaan and Reign.

Amie Coady, wife of Everton’s Conor Coady, was also seen touching down in Doha with the couple's three sons, Henri, Freddie and Louie, who were dressed in matching white T-shirts and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Amie carried her youngest son, who was no doubt tired from the long flight from the UK, as she made her way to a waiting car.

Someone who has shown her support at plenty of tournaments is Charlotte Trippier, wife of Newcastle player Jordan Trippier, who has played for England since 2017.

The couple married the year before and share son Jacob, daughter Esme and a third child who arrived earlier this year.

The WAGs’ activities will be no doubt be followed as much as their partners, and with all eyes on them they have hired a personal stylist to help with them modest dressing and adhering to the Middle-Eastern country’s strict rules.

It’s believed they’ve been told to ditch short skirts, tight shorts and low-cut tops.

According to The Sun, personal stylist Connie Jones was hired by Marcus Rashford’s fiancée Lucia Loi, John Stones’ partner Liv Naylor and Luke Shaw’s partner Anouska Santos.

A source said: “This World Cup is very different from the last one in Russia four years ago where the players wives and girlfriends could show off their bodies and figures in items such as denim shorts and skimpy tops.”

They continued: "The last thing they want is to offend anybody in Qatar. They have a lot of self-respect and want to show the same respect to the people there but at the same time enjoy themselves.”

Whilst in Qatar the women will stay on the £1 billion luxury cruise ship MSC World Europa.

The ship, which has 21 decks and 33 restaurants, will be docked just off the coast of Doha throughout the tournament.

They will be amongst the 7,000 guests staying on board the liner, which has a huge pool and jacuzzi on the top deck, as well as a 75m drop silver slide.

And with that many suitcases, it’s said a separate hold room has been made available for the women to use as a “walk in wardrobe”.

England will take on Iran in their first match of the tournament later today.

The World Cup in Qatar has already been surrounded by controversy, with human rights and environmental issues at the centre.
