Ex-Nickelodeon star missing and endangered’ as cops issue statement

Drake Bell, 36, has been reported missing by the Daytona Beach Police Department, with authorities issuing an appeal on social media.

Cops shared a statement on Facebook earlier today, asking for anyone with information on the actor’s whereabouts to get in touch.

The former Drake & Josh star was last seen on Wednesday (April 12) at 9pm near Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The statement, which has already been shared more than 4,300 times, read: “Officers are looking for Jared Bell, DOB 06/27/1986.

“He should be travelling in a 2022 grey BMW and his last known location is potentially the area of Mainland High School on 4/12/2023 just before 9pm.”

The message continued: “He is considered missing and endangered.

“If you know where he is or have any information, please contact Detective Jayson Wallace at 386-671-5207 or [email protected]

Drake had recently completed his probation after he was arrested in Ohio in April 2021 for an incident that occurred in December 2017, when the actor was accused of sexual misconduct and grooming an underage fan.

He was sentenced to two years of probation for the felony attempted child endangerment, as well as a misdemeanour charge of disseminating matters harmful to juveniles.

He admitted the charges in July 2021, stating: “I accept this plea because my conduct was wrong.”

Drake was also sentenced to 20 hours of unpaid community service and told he must have no contact with the victim.

In a statement that day, the victim said: “My life hasn’t been the same since I was 15.

“I think about these crimes every single day. I feel like I’m in a constant dark place.

“Sometimes I wish I could disappear so I can forget about what happened. They [Bell’s actions] cannot be taken back.

“He was calculating…He is a monster.”

Drake’s full statement read: “Today I accept this plea because my conduct was wrong. I’m sorry that the victim was harmed in any way – that was obviously not my intention.

“I have taken this matter very, very seriously, and again I just want to apologise to her and anyone else who may have been affected by my actions.”
