Gabby Logan shattered husbands confidence when they had sex after prostatectomy

Gabby and Kenny talk about trying having sex after his prostatectomy

Kenny Logan admitted that his “confidence hit rock bottom” after Gabby aired her frustrations about their sex life after he underwent surgery to have his prostate removed.

One year on from having his prostatectomy, Kenny said the sports presenter had shown no patience when he struggled to get an erection.

Discussing his recovery on The Mid Point podcast, Gabby asked her husband “Have I been alright?”

Kenny replied: “Well, you have got your times haven’t you? You know, you are good but you want things to happen immediately.”

Gabby then interjected: “Well no, from a woman’s point of view, obviously it was quite tough in the beginning.”

To which Kenny explained: “We can be open about this, can we? When we first tried to have sex after the whatchamacallit, Gabby said, ‘Oh, It’s not working, that’s it it’s not working, It’s not working’, you didn’t give me a chance.

“And then, what actually happened from that, my confidence just hit rock bottom. Every time I saw her in the bedroom I turned around and walked out.

“Sometimes you’ve just got to give a man a bit of time!”

Gabby chuckled and added: “Well, you’ve had your time,” and Kenny exclaimed: “Back in the game!”

Speaking six months after his operation, Kenny said he was “100 percent” physically and mentally, but that he was struggling with “inconsistency” in the bedroom

He said in a previous episode of the podcast: “The surgeon said to me, this could take 18 months. Within a month, I was getting movement, where he says, ‘That’s amazing.’ So it’s just not as consistent.

The couple, who have been married since 2001 and share two children, have been open about Kenny’s cancer battle in the hopes it will encourage other men to get tested.

Appearing on BBC Breakfast in September, Kenny said he had no symptoms and “had to go looking for it”.

He said of his diagnosis: “I literally fell over. I didn’t see it coming. No symptoms whatsoever… It’s hard.

“I found I had prostate cancer by accident. If you have symptoms it might be too late. Guys go get tested, simple and could save your life.”
