Gary Lineker and ex Danielle ‘look relaxed and intimate’ on holiday together

Gary Lineker discusses his relationship with Danielle Bux

Gary Lineker and his ex Danielle Bux were spotted enjoying a holiday together in Ibiza, Spain, with an onlooker saying it’s “hard to think they’re not blissfully married”.

The Match of the Day host, 62, was pictured lounging next to Danielle on a sunbed wearing a brown t-shirt, cream cargo shorts and Ray-Ban sunglasses to shield his eyes from the sun.

Danielle, 44, looked sensational in a burgundy bikini. The Cardiff-born model wore her long brunette hair loose and added some glamour with gold bangles.

In the photos obtained by The Sun, the exes proved they are still the best of friends as they laughed with each other on the beach.

One onlooker told the publication: “It was hard to think Gary and Danielle are not blissfully married.

“They looked so relaxed in each other’s company.

“They have re-written the rulebook on how a divorced couple can get on. They clearly still get on well.”

Danielle also shared a series of snaps from her holiday on Instagram, including her posing up a storm on a boat wearing a floral bikini.

As well as Gary, Danielle was joined by her friends, family and her six-year-old daughter Romy.

Danielle, who also has a 20-year-old daughter with her ex Adam Willis, married Gary in 2009.

They shocked fans in 2016 by announcing their divorce, with Gary sharing on Twitter that they “remain very close and the greatest of friends”.

Speaking earlier this year, Gary explained that their split was a “logical” decision and “purely down to children”.

Appearing on Gabby Logan’s The Mid-Point podcast, he said Danielle’s “body clock started ticking” and she got the “urge” to have more children.

Although he initially said that they would have a child together, “deep down” it was not something Gary wanted and they decided to split up.

He continued: “In the end, we decided to stay mates and see if she can find someone that really does want another child.

“That happened and he is a really good friend of mine now.”

Danielle married lawyer Nate Greenwald in 2019, two years after welcoming Romy together.,

Gary has four sons with his first wife, Michelle Cockayne. They are: George, 31, Harry, 29, Tobias, 27, and Angus, 25.
