The former Hollyoaks actor, 41, who met Laura, 33, filming E4 series Celebs Go Dating, says he’s keen for the Love Island star to relocate and get the approval of his mum, as he hopes to introduce her to his immediate family.
In a new interview, Gary predicted that his four children would get along with Laura because she’s both a girls’ girl and a tomboy – and admits the TV personality has completed him four years after his split from wife, Natasha Gray.

He said: ‘Well, everyone on the show keeps talking weddings and kids and all that… It’s lovely. I mean, long may that continue really. I enjoy every part.
‘I want to bring her back to mine, roast dinner with my mum, because her approval is important, and then chill. I want to get her down to Essex with me. I think she’s an Essex girl at heart.’
The ex-Footballers’ Wives star, who was married to Natasha for four years between 2014 and 2018, joined the E4 dating agency to find love again but fellow celebrity Laura quickly caught his eye.
Now that the pair are officially together, Gary says it won’t be long until he introduces Laura to his four children.
He added: ‘I know that they’ll get on with her because she’s good fun… she’s just cool. She’s a girly girl and a tomboy rolled into one at different times.’
New romance: The former Hollyoaks actor, who met Laura filming E4 series Celebs Go Dating, says he’s keen for the Love Island star to relocate and get the approval of his mum
Gary insists the couple have a real connection and their spark was first realised after the celebrity contestants took part in a master class where they were asked about their favourite sex positions – and him and Laura shared many of the same answers.
He said: ‘Laura ticks all the boxes I had when I walked into the agency, she’s attractive, she’s family orientated. Someone that’s fun, bubbly, got a spark, and her life together.
‘We were sent on a master class, and I was paired with Laura. It was an honesty master class where they asked us questions like, ‘what’s your favourite sexual position?’ And we pretty much were in sync on most if not all things.’
Following the breakdown of his marriage, Gary admits he’s spent years building back his life but the one thing missing was a meaningful relationship.

Romantic: Gary admits after spending years repairing his life following the end of his four-year marriage, meeting Laura has completed him, referring to her as the missing piece of his puzzle
The TV actor became known for being a womaniser in his heyday when he starred in Hollyoaks and Footballers’ Wives, describing himself as a ‘wild boy with nonstop women.’
He admits to quickly settling down with his ex-wife, who became the mother of his children, and says he ‘didn’t do the dating thing’ – so went from one extreme to the next in a short period.
He explained: ‘I’ve spent the last four years putting myself back together and there was just one piece missing and I think I’ve found the final piece of the puzzle, which is Laura.
‘Back in the day, when I was in Footballers’ Wives, I was a bit of a wild boy, nonstop women.
Exes: Gary says him and Laura were also able to connect on their complicated dating history, with the former air stewardess announcing the end of her five-year relationship with Dane Bowers in August
‘I jumped straight into a relationship. I was like, ‘right, I want to have someone I can just have nice life experiences with.’ The first one I bumped into became the mother of my children.
‘I didn’t do the dating thing, I just didn’t. Didn’t happen the first time, before, when I was on the telly, which was 16, to then in between or after it was just nightclub hook ups.’
Gary says him and Laura were also able to connect on their complicated dating history.
Former air stewardess Laura found fame on Love Island in 2018 where she coupled up with model Paul Knops, but their romance quickly fizzled out once the series ended.
She’s since had failed relationships with The Bachelor UK’s Alex Marks as well as Love Island 2015 winner Max Morley and Another Level singer Dane Bowers.
Laura announced she and Dane had split in August following five years together and she was moving back to the UK from Dubai, where they shared a home.
Gary said: ‘She’s had a difficult time as well, from what I’ve heard.
‘So it’s just lovely to be on a similar kind of page where we’re both a little bit wounded and just kind of ready for something new. I want to look after her and she wants to take care of me, which I like.’
