Georgia Kousoulou told fiancé Tommy I cant do this amid ADHD struggle

Georgia Kousoulou provided her fiancé Tommy Mallet with an ultimatum after hitting "breaking point" during a bad period in their relationship.

The former TOWIE star recognised the symptoms of ADHD in Tommy and prompted him to get help, before they ended their eight-year relationship.

"I was the one who diagnosed him with ADHD first," the 31 year old Essex girl revealed.

"Although I knew we weren’t getting on, I knew there was something more to it.

"I was looking at these behaviours and noises like the baby crying was a trigger. It kept coming up as ADHD. I knew it wasn’t right. We were on holiday in Majorca and I got a flight home early. The baby came with me. I just wanted to get home and when I got back I said to him, “I think you have ADHD and you need to get tested. Either you get help or I’m going. I can’t do it any more.'”

She continued: "He said, “OK fine – find me a place.” I had to follow it up and find a doctor. I sent him the number. He needed that diagnosis. He needed someone to say to him, “I think you’ve got it.”

Speaking about his diagnosis and symptoms, businessman Tommy, 30, told us: "I started being really forgetful. That was a struggle. I had no control over what I was saying. It got really bad. There are things that aggravate it – I need to keep stress in check and stick to a routine and diet. I always used to wonder why on holiday I did work. I could sit down for about a day and then I’d have to be obsessed with something."

Georgia then told us Tommy's diagnosis came after the ultimatum she gave him.

"I was at breaking point. I had no other option. I had to say it. I had to save my family unit," she said.

While Tommy, who was keen to share his ADHD journey on their fly-on-the-wall show Baby Steps to help others, added: "The ADHD was like an excuse for acting the way I did when I was going through a hard time. I always thought I had a stressful job, filming the show, working constantly. Going around the world, having a baby, we bought another house, dealing with all of that. I’m just glad that I confronted it early. Now my life is different."

The couple, who are parents to 18 month old son Brody, are now in a good place and are looking to expand their family further and plan their wedding.

"I would like another [baby," Georgia said.

"I need to get a bit of a plan in action if I want to get married in 2024 or 2025. Ideally, I’d have the baby before that. I don’t want a massive gap [in age after Brody]. Please God, I’ll get pregnant within the next year. That would be great."

The new series of Georgia And Tommy: Baby Steps starts on Wednesday, 9pm, ITVBe
