Emily Eavis has revealed that Sir Elton John finally performing on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury is the event she is really looking forward to during this year’s festival, saying: "I think that’s going to be a very special moment for everybody."

The Rocket Man singer, 76, is due to close the festival on Sunday night for what has been billed as the final UK show of his mammoth farewell tour.

Not only that, festival-goers also get to enjoy performances from Arctic Monkeys, Manic Street Preachers and Guns N' Roses, as well as Lana Del Rey, Lizzo and The Chemical Brothers.

And Glastonbury attendees can soak up the magical memories with our picture souvenir special, powered by The Mirror, which captures the excitement, colour, magic and joy of the wonderful weekend at Worthy Farm.

The excitement is gearing up at Worthy Farm as Emily Eavis revealed what she's most excited about: "I can’t choose one thing. I think probably Elton coming after such a long time; a lifetime waiting essentially.

"And there’s a lot of significance to this show being his last and being Sunday night and the closing point of the festival. So I think that’s going to be really, really spectacular and a very special moment for everybody.

"Sunday night’s always an emotional night. Remember Beyonce or Blur? We’ve had some really incredibly epic sets on Sunday night and I think this is going to be incredible."

The festival co-organiser confessed she could not reveal any of Sir Elton’s four surprise collaborators as she did not know who they were, adding: "Best kept secret that one."

It comes as another heat health warning has been issued for parts of the UK heading into the weekend as temperatures are expected to soar to 32C.

The UK Health and Safety Agency and the Met Office have put the warning in place from 9am on Friday to 9am on Monday, covering most of England.

The warning covers the South East, South West, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, Yorkshire and the Humber, and London.

London is expected to be the hottest part of the UK with potential highs of 31C or 32C, but temperatures will be in the high 20s for large parts of England.

The hottest day of the year so far fell on June 10 when 32.2C was recorded in Surrey.

Thousands who are descending on Somerset for Glastonbury will welcome the warm weather, although they could see some rain and thunder moving in from the west.
