The former Beatle is set to perform at the iconic festival on Saturday evening, and, at 80 years of age, will become the oldest solo act ever to headline.

Incredibly, Billie Eilish also made history on Friday as she became the youngest-ever solo act to headline Glastonbury at just 20 years of age.

So, while revellers have been warned of wet and stormy weather across the weekend, it’s hard to dampen people’s spirits with so much going on.

But for those of us at home who don’t want to miss out on the festivities, can you watch Paul McCartney’s Glastonbury set on TV and what time will he be playing?

What time is Paul McCartney’s Glastonbury set?

Sir Paul McCartney will hit the stage at Glastonbury at 10.30pm, where he is expected to play for well over 100,000 people.

There’s plenty in store for when the icon takes to the Pyramid Stage, with reports Sir Paul is planning a virtual duet with his old friend and former Beatles bandmate, the late John Lennon.

The star already treated 800 lucky fans to a tiny intimate warm-up gig in Frome, Somserset on Friday – he will perform to over 100 times that this evening.

And once you add in those of us watching from home, Sir Paul could well be playing to over a million.

How can you watch it?

You don’t have to be at Worthy Farm this weekend – you can watch Sir Paul McCartney’s Glastonbury set from the comfort of your home.

The former Beatle’s eagerly anticipated Glasto performance will air at 10.30pm on BBC One, which is available both on TV and on BBC iPlayer.

And it’s not just Sir Paul: loads of acts from Glastonbury are being streamed across BBC channels this weekend, with Billie Eilish’s record-breaking headlining set on Friday having aired on BBC Two.

Who else is in the Glastonbury lineup this weekend?

There are some massive names playing at Glastonbury 2022, from Sir Paul McCartney to Pet hop Boys.

Friday’s headliner was the incredible Billie Eilish, with Little Sims, Sam Fender, Blossoms, Wolf Alice, Robert Plant and TLC also making appearances.

On Saturday, along with Sir Paul, fans have the chance to watch the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Haim, Glass Animals, Noel Gallagher, Yungblud and Megan Thee Stallion.

Sunday will seething beginning to come to a close, but not without some more major surprises, with secret special guests rumoured to be playing.

Fans will also be able to catch the legendary Diana Ross, as well as Lorde, Years & Years and Kendrick Lamar, before the 2022 festival is brought to a close with a special performance by Pet Shop Boys.
