Gwyneth Paltrow, 50, exudes confidence as she shares a NO MAKE-UP selfie in a new post to support her Goop brand

Gwyneth Paltrow presented a new selfie onto the Instagram page for her wellness company, Goop, on Friday morning. 

The Academy Award-winning actress opted to share a make-up free selfie to help promote confidence in aging and skincare. 

The star, who recently celebrated her milestone 50th birthday last month, donned a comfortable robe and snapped a close-up selfie before the start of her busy day.

The Iron Man alum took a quick snap as the sun started to rise and peek through the window in the early morning hour. 

The actress chose to not wear any make-up in the selfie to promote confidence to her followers. 

‘GP rarely wears makeup, and we’re always in awe at the way her skin looks,’ the caption to the post began. 

A quote from Gwyneth was then shared, where she expressed she gained a lot of her confidence with her skin. ‘My strategy is skin care,’ the mother of two explained. ‘I love the confidence I feel when my skin’s in great shape.’ 

The post additionally shared a link to the star’s own skincare products that she often uses, including exfoliators and hyaluronic acid serums.

In the photo, the actress donned a plush, red plaid robe while her blonde locks fell down naturally straight past her shoulders. 

Gwyneth has recently opened up about the process of aging, and the confidence she still holds despite celebrating her 50th birthday last month in September. 

When talking to CBS News, the talented star expressed that when she was younger, ‘I thought, you know, 50 is, like, you’re dead at that point!’ 

However, the actress revealed that she felt there should be ease and less pressure when turning a certain age. ‘As a woman, you turn 50 and maybe we all give ourselves permission to be exactly who we are,’ she explained to the outlet. 

‘And we stop trying to be what other people are expecting us to be, and you kind of exhale into this other thing.’ 

Business focus: The award-winning star has put her focus on building up her brand since its launch in 2008; seen in July in East Hampton City 

Gwyneth’s popular wellness and lifestyle brand, Goop, was initially launched in 2008, and the star has devoted her time towards building up the company. 

During an interview with Sunday Today earlier this year in June, the star revealed that she doesn’t have a desire to jump back into the entertainment industry anytime soon. Instead, she would rather put her focus on business. 

‘I really don’t miss it at all,’ she admitted. ‘I think I’m so lucky that I got to do it, and I’m sure I still will at some point.’ 

‘The team is always trying to get me to do a movie, but I really love what I do and I love how immediate it is and how … we’re able to create product out of thin air that we believe in so much.’

The Shakespeare In Love alum recently experienced another milestone earlier in the fall when her 18-year-old daughter, Apple, left home to begin her first year of college. 

Along with Apple, Gwyneth also shares son, Moses, 16, with her ex-husband and Coldplay singer, Chris Martin. Their divorce was finalized in 2016. 

She is also stepmother to her current husband, Brad Falchuk’s, two children, Brody and Isabella.  

The actress opened up to People on Wednesday that it was ‘truly horrifying’ sending her daughter off to college. 

‘I was sick to my stomach, bursting into tears,’ she added. ‘I see her, but not as much as I’d like. I’d like to see her every day, but I’m so happy for her. She’s doing great.’  

Family: After her divorce was finalized from Chris Martin in 2016, the actress tied the knot with producer, Brad Falchuk, in 2018; the two seen in September 2019
