Helen Flanagan cruelly ‘mum shamed’ by trolls over daughters’ bedroom

Fans rushed to defend Helen Flanagan after she was ‘mum shamed’ over her daughters’ bedroom.

The former Coronation Street star, 32, shared an ad she had filmed with her two eldest children – Matilda, seven, and Delilah, four – which shows the two girls sharing a princess-themed bedroom.

The star, who also shares one year old son Charlie with footballer ex Scott Sinclair, took to Instagram to share the content, where she can be seen saying goodnight to her daughters as they sit in pink beds in front of a castle mural.

Saying goodnight, the actress says: “Love you girls, night night.”

"Night," Matilda and Delilah reply before the eldest of the two turns to her sister and says: "Come on, Delilah, let's go to play."

The girls are then seen playing with their toys until mum comes back in and, after looking surprised at their antics, decides to join in with the game.

Some of Helen’s followers seemed to be surprised that her two daughters were sharing a room.

However, others were quick to jump in and defend the star and defend the two girls sharing their princess-themed space.

One person commented: “Beautiful family ….nobody’s business if they share a room or not at the end of the day it’s just common courtesy to be respectful of others."

Another follower added: "My children love sharing a room….why are ppl so vile?! Seriously give her a break – nothing more irritating than the parent police."

While someone else jumped in with: “Their bedroom is absolutely amazing. So perfect for 2 girls!! I’d have loved this room growing up."

Another follower pointed out: “How does this video prove they don’t have their own rooms?? It’s an ad. Some folk need to stay off social media if they can’t just accept content for what it is, rather than making stupid assumptions!"

It comes after a friend shared that Helen was in a “good” place following her split from fiancé Scott earlier this year.

Actress Helen’s close pal and former Corrie co-star Lucy Fallon told OK!: “She’s good, she seems normal and happy.”

Lucy – who played Bethany Platt in the soap for five years – continued: “I recently filmed Pointless with her, so we were in London together. I’ve never known somebody who’s… obsessed is the wrong word, but she just loves those kids.

“Everything she does is for her children. And you can really tell, with the way she speaks about everything.”

Weeks earlier, sources close to Helen revealed how she had ended things with footballer Scott, 33, following a solo work trip to South Africa to film I’m A Celebrity All Stars.

They said, “Helen has removed her engagement ring and told those close to her that she is single and no longer with Scott.

“They hit a rough patch in the summer after Helen came back from South Africa, and it ended for good.”

However, despite the couple's separation, they remain co-parents to their three children, with the entire family reportedly still planning to spend Christmas together.
