Helen Flanagan hits back as ‘vile’ mummy shamers attack her for kissing kids
Helen Flanagan has hit back at social media trolls who criticised her for kissing her children.
The 34 year old former Corrie star and mother of three came under fire from some people on an Instagram post as they asked her why she is always trying to kiss her children. She posted a number of snaps with her youngest child, two year old son, Charlie, to Instagram, including a mirror selfie, and some snaps as she pouted her lips out to him for a kiss.
Helen, who shares Matilda, 7, Delilah, 4, and Charlie with ex Scott Sinclair, innocently captioned the post: "Charlie’s tantrums today were off the scale, trying to get pictures with my two year old."
But she got some vile comments from some of her followers about kissing her son, as one said: "Why do you constantly ask your kids for kiss after kiss…like it's not normal plus the way you talk to them is like you are talking to puppies…you need to act like there mum…they need tough love and discipline."
Another wrote: "Have you ever thought they don't want photos and kisses all the time . I've never known anyone to ask their kids for kiss after kiss ???" A third said: "Stop shoving a phone in his face 24/7 trying to get a 2yr posing for likes on instagram! Bet while he was having a meltdown you thought “ Where’s my phone “ instead of dealing with him."
Another told Helen "you're the reason he has tantrums" as they said: "You're so overbearing and in their face all the time."
But Helen clapped back as she screenshot some of the comments and posted them to her Instagram stories, as she wrote over the top: "Very strange some comments on Instagram [laughing emoji]. As a mum, I want my kids to feel really loved and happy and sad and I'm affectionate and I co-sleep because that's how Delilah is happier and I don't want her to cry, she will grow out of it."
In her next post, she posted a screenshot of yet more comments, as she wrote: "Vile comments. I just love my kids."
Some people jumped to Helen's defence on the post comments, as one person wrote: "Stop with the nasty comments , she is and amazing mum who supports and loves her children . So stop putting her down , she can do what she likes !!!".
Another positive comment read: "A lot of actual bullying in these comments. These comments are like something from nasty kids in a playground, hard to imagine they’ve come from adults. She’s a mum doing her best."
