Helen Skelton lined up for Celebs Go Dating after split from rugby star husband

Helen Skelton has reportedly been lined up to star on the next series of Celebs Go Dating on E4.

The Strictly Come Dancing runner-up is said to be ready to get back out there in the dating pool after a difficult split from her rugby player husband Richie Myler last year.

The 39 year old Countryfile presenter shares children Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and baby daughter Elsie, one, with her ex, and after a rollercoaster year and a fantastic stint on BBC's most-popular dance show, is said to be being scouted for another reality series.

“Helen has already proved she is great on TV and is really interesting to watch," a source said.

“The public really felt for her after her split and bosses think everyone would love to see her dating journey."

The insider continued to The Sun: "They are willing to offer her big bucks to take part, but it looks like Helen really isn’t interested in sharing that part of her life."

While Helen could finally be ready to move on with her life, the source added that bosses at Channel 4 know it would take "a lot to change her mind".

OK! has contacted representatives for Helen and Channel 4 for comment.

Helen was left heartbroken when her husband Richie of eight years decided to call it quits on their marriage in April last year.

At the time, their daughter Elsie was still only four months old.

Less than a year later, Richie confirmed he is expecting another child with his girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, posting a snap on Instagram that showed off her growing baby bump.

Celebs Go Dating sees various TV stars signing up in the hope of finding love after a series of unsuccessful relationships, with varying success.

TOWIE favourite Pete Wicks has been on the show twice, and previous Love Island winner Liam Reardon also took the plunge last year.

The biggest success during the last series was the connection built between Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy and Love Island star Laura Anderson, as the pair met and fell in love on the show.

It was later revealed that the couple had even decided to have a baby together and Laura was already pregnant, and the pair shared a series of sweet snaps detailing their first Christmas together.

Sadly, in the months since, Laura and Gary have confirmed they have now split up.

They are keen to support each other through the process and will do their best to raise the child together.
