Holly Willoughby fans can’t believe how young her mum looks in sweet snap

Holly Willoughby bewildered fans on Sunday as she shared a glamorous shot of herself alongside a mum, Linda.

On Sunday, celebrities took to social media to celebrate Mother’s Day with gushing tributes and adorable pictures.

David Beckham, Rihanna, Leonardo DiCaprio and Molly-Mae Hague were among those celebrating the annual day with their loved ones.

Also on Sunday, Dancing on Ice host Holly, who is usually seen alongside Phillip Schofield, took to Instagram with a sweet message to her mum.

In the photo, the 42 year old This Morning presenter could be seen flashing her pearly whites in a white polka dot blouse with an enormous bouquet of flowers in her hand.

Beside her, Linda, who used to work as a flight attendant, could be seen in a blue blouse with layered necklaces.

In the caption, Holly wrote: “Happy Mother’s Day beautiful Mumma… Always there for us in every way… Couldn’t be more blessed… Love you.”

Fans were quick to flock to the comments to gush over the mother-daughter duo, with many struck by how similar they look.

One person wrote: “Gosh Holly your mother is as beautiful as yourself..hope you both have a wonderful day xx.”

“The apples didn’t fall far from the tree!” another said, while a third simply added, “Happy Mother's Day to you both! Have the most incredible day.”

A fourth chimed in: “Happy Mother’s Day to you both gorgeous Holly you stunner! Xx.”

Holly is the youngest of two daughters from Linda and her dad, Brian, and she grew up in Brighton, East Sussex.

Holly is often the subject of gushing praise online, having previously wowed in a “divine” gold dress as part of her many sensational Dancing on Ice looks.

But there are instances where fans and friends seemingly go too far, as seen when The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness branded her a “perv” on the popular BBC skating show.

“Look we've got Jay McGuiness who is here supporting Siva, you've got some fans in the audience tonight,” Holly questioned following Siva Kaneswaran’s performance. “Now listen, he keeps saying he can't dance but we all saw those hips tonight.”

Jay, who was wearing a “Team Siva” hat, replied, “you perv,” which seemingly shocked both Holly and the viewers at home.

“Well, you know, they were there,” Holly replied, as Jay said: “Um, I think that anytime somebody gets out there and moves their body in front of people, that can be intimidating.

Taking to Twitter to discuss the awkward moment, one fan wrote: “Holly not too impressed at being called a perv by Jay McGuiness, and rightly so! He was well out of order #dancingonice."

“Jay calling Holly a perv and then the whole place went silent,” another said, which prompted a third to write: “The way Holly stumbled over her words when Jay straight up called her a perv lmaooooo was so unexpected.”
