Holly Willoughby shares playful clip of Dermot OLeary as she moves on from ITV drama

Holly Willoughby has shared a playful clip of one of her This Morning co-hosts, Dermot O'Leary as she moves on from the recent drama surrounding the show.

The 42 year old mum of three took to Instagram to share a video of a very tired Dermot, 50, dunking his face into a bowl of ice and water, in a bid to wake himself up after a late night.

It had previously been shown on Monday's This Morning, which the pair presented together.

Dermot had only had three hours' sleep, after hosting the Soccer Aid for UNICEF match in Manchester on Sunday evening, which included celebrity players such as Tommy Fury, who is the boyfriend of Molly-Mae Hague.

As Dermot admitted to Holly on the This Morning sofa how little sleep he'd had, he revealed that his makeup artist had a shock-inducing way of ensuring that he looked more alert.

In the dressing room, prior to the start of the show, Holly could be heard squealing with laughter as she filmed Dermot plunging his face back into the mini ice bath, as she shouted "again, again!".

After keeping his head in it for an impressive few moments, Dermot emerged and could be heard groaning as he pressed a blue towel to his sodden face, while Holly and the makeup artist laughed.

Holly is clearly moving on from the recent drama surrounding This Morning, a week after addressing the show's viewers over the Phillip Schofield scandal in a now-infamous speech.

Rumours of a "feud" between Holly and Phil started in May, with the veteran presenter going on to quit his presenting duties on the show on May 20, after 21 years on-air.

He then admitted to having had an affair with a young male colleague on the show, and resigned from ITV altogether.

After returning from a brief hiatus from the show, Holly made a tearful address to its viewers on Monday, June 5, as she said she was "shaken, troubled and let down" by Phillip, who admitted to lying about the affair to her, his ITV bosses, management, and family.

Forgoing her usual bright coloured and patterned dresses, Holly donned a white dress – perhaps signalling her committal to a fresh start in a post-Phillip era of This Morning.

While sitting next to co-star Josie Gibson, tears swam in Holly's eyes as she directly addressed the viewers at home as she stared intently into the camera. She began: "Deep breath – firstly, are you OK? I hope so.

"It feels very strange sitting here without Phil and I imagine you might be feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what's been going on, and full of questions.

"You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process."

In the rest of her speech, in which she only called Phillip by his name once, she referenced the effect that everything was having on his mental health, before saying that she looked forward to the "magic" coming back to This Morning, in a post-Phillip era.
