I’m A Celeb’s Carol Vorderman, 62, hailed an ‘inspiration’ as she shares workout video

Carol Vorderman, 62, was quickly praised by fans when she shared a clip of herself working out in the gym.

The former Countdown legend, who appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, shared a number of clips with her 350,000 Instagram followers showing how she spent her day.

In the clips, she explains that she has woken up at 5am and listened to the birds outside.

Then, at 6am Carol – who was in Bristol – spent some time focusing on her new book’s synopsis before hitting the gym at 9am, followed by grabbing a quick coffee.

The mum-of-two captioned the post: “Sunday Bristol style with yours truly."

“5am sitting listening to the birds outside. 6am carried on working on a synopsis for a book I’m writing…9am off to the gym at @the.gymset for a sesh Ooofffff.

“I love Clifton Bristol. Its alive with students and chilled people hanging out doing their thing. So much busier nowadays than when we moved here 16 years ago but just as beautiful.

“Got my coffee from @annacakecouture. Resisted the cakes and macaroons…ha

“Time to get back to that book…

“I am the luckiest woman alive you know… I really am… love this thing called life in all its light and fire”.

Following the former Countdown host’s post, she was inundated with comments from fans who dubbed her as ‘inspirational’.

One commented: “You are awesome Carol. I’m 53 and you inspire me to get my ass in gear again.”

Another added: “You are an inspiration, you look great.”

While a third said: “Living life to the full Carol an inspiration to use all.”

A fourth commented: “These exercise videos are always great to see, you’re so focused and driven to keep going.”

It comes after Carol shared a sweet photo of herself and her children – who are rarely seen and tend to remain out of the public eye – to celebrate the Pride of Manchester Awards earlier this month.

In the sweet snaps, Carol was joined by her son Cameron, 25, and her daughter Katie, 31, with the trio smiling, while clearly enjoying their night out together.

Carol can be seen laughing alongside her children – who she shares with management consultant Patrick King, whom she married in 1990 before separating 10 years later – as the family pose on a staircase at the Pride of Manchester Awards on Wednesday night.
