Jack Keating shares adorable snap of baby daughter after becoming first-time dad

Jack Keating enjoyed some quality time with his three-month-old daughter Maya this week, sharing a sweet monochrome snap to Instagram while out for an al fresco meal.

The former Love Island contestant, who announced the surprise baby news upon Maya's arrival in March, was ever the doting dad as he bundled up the little one on his knee while beaming to the camera.

Dubbing her the 'best dinner date' to his 59K followers in the caption, Maya's mother, Keely Iqbal, joked "Before ya know it she’ll be sharing your calamari" in the comment section.

Jack, who is the eldest son of Boyzone's Ronan Keating, surprised fans when announcing he had become a dad earlier this year – keeping Keely's identity private at the time.

At the time, he shared a black-and-white photo of himself cradling the newborn, writing alongside it: "Welcome to the world my little [princess emoji]".

The arrival of his daughter came just months after he made an appearance in the summer series of Love Island, entering the villa as a Casa Amor bombshell.

Confused fans commented on his Instagram post announcing the new arrival, as one person pondered: “Now I’m bad at maths, but the math ain’t mathing on this at all!!! Love Island isn’t even 9 months ago yet. I mean I know accidents happen but….”

However, it is thought that Keely fell pregnant shortly after Jack's stint on Love Island, with the pair appearing not to be in a romantic relationship.

Jack kept the name of his new-born under wraps too when announcing the news, before Keely, who runs a trainer customisation business, revealed it during an Instagram Q&A.

"Her name is Maya Ann Keating," she said. "Ann was my mum's name. She watches Maya from heaven."

Albeit a surprise, Jack’s family have rallied around him since the arrival of his little one, with dad Ronan going on to label his granddaughter as a “little cutie”, while also commenting a love heart on the most recent picture.

On the post announcing Maya's birth, Jack's mum Yvonne Connolly, 48, commented: “I miss her so much already”.

Jack entered the Love Island villa last year as a Casa Amor bombshell but didn't manage to forge any connections during his time on the show, being sent home just days later during the dramatic Casa Amor recoupling.

The new season of the show kicked off earlier this week, and it's been reported that he has a particular connection with one of the new islanders.

He is said to have enjoyed a brief 'romance' with contestant Molly Marsh, mainly consisting of flirty messages between the pair.

“Molly and Jack were texting and there was a real spark when it first began, it was flirty banter. They knew each other through her influencer work and he seemed really keen," a source told The Sun.

Adding: “It fizzled out before they actually met up though and there was less interest from Molly’s side to be honest, but he still likes all her photos online.”
