Jamie Foxx ‘Awake and Alert’ in Hospital Following Medical Complication

The 55-year-old Oscar-winning actor has been hospitalized since last week after experiencing what his daughter Corinne Foxx described as a ‘medical complication’ on April 11.

AceShowbiz –Jamie Foxx‘s condition seemingly has improved amid his hospitalization due to “medical complications.” According to a source, the “Django Unchained” actor is “awake and alert” in a Georgia medical facility.

Offering a health update of the 55-year-old was PEOPLE. Ann insider told the publication that the Hollywood star is “OK” although he is yet to go back home.

“He’s still in the hospital and doctors are running tests but he’s awake and alert,” the unnamed informant further explained. “They’re keeping him under observation.”

Prior to this, Jamie’s friend Martin Lawrence divulged that the former is “doing better. “Well, I hear he’s doing better,” the “Bad Boys for Life” star told Extra at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

“My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him,” Martin continued. He added that Jamie is “one of the best that we got in Hollywood, not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.”

Jamie has been hospitalized since last week after experiencing what his daughter Corinne Foxx described as “medical complication” on April 11. “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the 29-year-old actress posted on her social media page at the time. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

The “47 Meters Down: Uncaged” star turned off the comments on the post, but added in her statement, “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
