Jamie Foxx makes first public appearance since hospitalisation
Jamie Foxx thrilled some lucky fans who were the first to see the Robin Hood star in three months.
The 55-year-old appeared gleeful as he sat at the front of a boat on the Chicago River, speeding past screaming fans who begged for updates on his health on Sunday (July 9) afternoon.
The Hollywood star flashed a peace sign and appeared to be talking although he couldn’t be heard over the passionate calls from fans.
Jamie was also reportedly spotted late on Saturday evening in Chicago as he enjoyed a night out on the town during his recovery.
This appearance follows months of speculation on Jamie’s health and the “medical complication” which resulted in him being hospitalised in the first place.

Jamie’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, revealed on Instagram in April he had suffered from a “medical complication”, but highlighted he was already in recovery.
Already rumours began circulating within weeks Jamie had taken a turn and was now in critical condition or even life support in the hospital with his family “preparing for the worst”.
Corinne quickly dispelled the false claims, explaining in mid-May once again declaring her father was already out of the hospital and working through a steady recovery.
However, this didn’t do much to quell fans’ anxieties for the star as he still hadn’t been seen in public for over a month and the actor’s famous pals were seemingly just as concerned.

Among Jamie’s famous friends, Mike Tyson, Kevin Hart and Cameron Diaz all wished the star a speedy recovery but many claimed they had been struggling to get hold of him.
Just last week, Jamie’s They Cloned Tyrone co-star John Boyega revealed he had managed to get the actor on the phone for a brief call and was assured he was on the mend.
John told People at the film’s Netflix premiere, the second premiere Jamie has skipped since his hospitalisation: “He finally picked up the phone.
“He’s doing well. And then, you know, we’re just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return.
“So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”
