Jason Manford, 41, has reacted to the ongoing backlash surrounding Phillip Schofield, 60, and Holly Willoughby, 41. The comedian slammed people for focusing on the queue jump drama, which the This Morning hosts have addressed, instead of problems such as Vladimir Putin’s latest threats.
In view of his 434,000 followers, he wrote: “Putin threatening us with nukes, cost of living, fuel at record prices, rudderless government, queues for food banks but what are people crying about?
“2 people in the media used media pass to ‘queue jump’ to see Queen’s coffin.
“Good God I wish I had these peoples problems!”
The comedian’s tweet certainly caused a stir with many sharing their opinions online.
Samantha Campbell commented: “People have really serious issues and problems and are annoyed by it, it’s more of a last straw with them than just the act itself and the lieing about it.(sic)
“We can be upset about all those things and ne need to dismiss how people feel.”(sic)
In response, Jason said: “I am dismissing it cos it’s stupid.”
Another named Angie Franklin brought up Jason’s past mistake of him “flirting” online despite being married.
He addressed the matter at the time and later stepped down from The One Show just four months after taking on the role.
Hitting back, he wrote: “Hahaha incredible that you’ve used that to defend our government!
“Difference is I admitted bad apologised for my mistake (12 years ago) and it didn’t effect the life of millions of people!”(sic)
Rebecca Rodda wrote: “I’m in total agreement with you Jason it’s pathetic! The fact that people have signed a petition for them to get the sack, really they deserve to lose their jobs?? Get a grip #bekind.”

Another named Nigel Wilkinson, who proceeded to slam Phil and Holly for not queueing with others, Jason replied: “I just wish I had enough time in the day to give a f**k.
“Go check your latest energy bill & then decide what’s worth getting p****d off about.”
Phillip and Holly addressed the backlash surrounding their actions on This Morning on Tuesday.
In a pre-recorded VT, she said: “Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists, we were given official permission to access the hall.
“It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for millions of people in the UK, who haven’t been able to visit Westminster in person.
“The rules were that we would be quickly escorted around the edges to a platform at the back, in contrast, those paying respects walked along a carpeted area beside the coffin and were given time to pause.”
Holly continued: “We, of course, respected those rules, however, we realise it may have looked like something else and therefore totally understand the reaction.
“Please know, we would never jump a queue.”
