Kahiau Machado Cast as Nani’s Love Interest David in Live Action ‘Lilo & Stitch’

The Lilo & Stitch movie has found it’s David!

Newcomer Kahiau Machado has reportedly been cast in the role of Nani’s love interest in the upcoming live action movie, according to THR.

David Kawena is a surfer and a good friend of Lilo and Nani, who helps out with watching over Lilo and even has a crush on Nani, trying to take her out on a date.

The upcoming movie adaptation “tells of the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who was genetically engineered to be a force of destruction. With nosy social workers and pursuing aliens banging on the door, the two bond over a shared sense of family and win the day.”

Kahiau is the latest addition to the cast, following the reported castings of Lilo and Nani, as well as two more unknown roles.
