Kanye West Shades Kid Cudi When Declaring Adidas CEO Is Dead With Fake Newspaper Headline

The ‘Donda’ rapper takes a shot at his friend-turned-foe when posting an edited front-page newspaper headline announcing the death of Kasper Rorsted on his social media account.

AceShowbizKanye West continues to show his antic behavior on social media. The “Donda” star has been caught throwing shades at Kid Cudi when he declared Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted is “dead” with a fake newspaper headline.

On Thursday, September 1, the 45-year-old rapper and designer turned to his Instagram page to call out Kasper. He posted a front-page newspaper headline that read, “Kasper Rorsted Also Dead at 60.”

The headline was meant as a jab at the Adidas CEO, who steps down from the role in 2023. In fine print at the bottom of the paper, it read, “I know what you’re thinking…who is Kasper? but even less importantly who is Kid Cudi?” Ye added in the caption, “I’m not here to be liked I’d don’t like it leave.”

Ye has been a fan of antagonistic fake newspapers recently. He previously used the same method to troll Pete Davidson over his breakup with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The “Gold Digger” spitter’s very public and vitriolic hatred for Pete is also what contributed to his fall-out with Kid Cudi, since the “Man on the Moon” rapper has been friends with the “Saturday Night Live” alum for years.

The Yeezy mogul had also previously criticized Adidas for celebrating their Yeezy Day brand holiday on August 2, noting in a direct message to Complex’s Instagram that “Adidas made up the Yeezy Day idea without my approval.” He went on to say the brand also reissued older Adidas Yeezy styles, designed Yeezy colorways and hired employees for the line all without his approval.

Also on Thursday, Ye shared a post calling out both Gap and Adidas for copying his designs. “How to create and Angry ye,” he began. “If you are Adidas or Gap take the objects made in collaboration with Kanye, respectively the Yeezy Slide and Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga Tee and make something similar .. that’s it! You too now have your Angry Kanye.”

A few hours later, Ye, who also aired his family drama with Kris Jenner and Kim in a series of Instagram rant, made it clear that “today is about control.” He continued, “MY KIDS, YZY ADI, YZY GAP. It’s up on all 3 of these issues. At the same time. Cause it’s all the same mentally that makes these people feel they can keep getting away with things.”

One day earlier, Ye took aim at Gap, delivering a social media post criticizing the brand for canceling a photo shoot he had planned with his children at the last minute. The hip-hop star then followed up the criticism with a six-minute video call to Gap in which he’s seen reaffirming his commitment to the brand and to his larger “life mission” with the company.

“This country is based on industry, and with us, collectively, we all have a responsibility to bring it back. … We can do it with this team,” he said in part. “This is bigger than us, and we shouldn’t argue amongst ourselves. But I’m saying I have to go pull that sword out the stone. You either believe me or I’m going to show you. … You’re gonna see it.”
