Kate and Williams powerful bonding moment was intense and very telling, says expert

Prince William andKate Middleton shared an “intense” bonding moment while on aroyalengagement, a body language expert has said.

The Prince and Princess of Walesvisited the Hayes Muslim Centre in West London this week to thank those involved in the aid effort supporting survivors of the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

Kate, 41, was seen smiling outside with her husband William, 40, as she wrapped up in a grey long coat with heels and a detailed white headscarf.

The royal couple seemed relaxed during the engagement, with one photograph showing the pair looking each other in the eye – Kate grinning broadly and William with a more suppressed and subtle smile.

Body language expert Judi James said this was a powerful moment that showed the couple’s close bond.

She toldExpress.co.uk: “This is such an intense and very telling sign from the couple who not only meet eyes but turn it into a sustained and meaningful gaze that is possibly more of a PDA than a hug or hand hold.

“It’s the reaction that counts here. Kate’s prompted smile suggests shared fun and affection while William’s more suppressed smile hints at almost romantic levels of attraction.

“It might only look like a small moment but they look lost in that moment and it was a powerful one in terms of their bonding as a couple.”

William and Kate “seem more relaxed with each other than ever” as the dust settles fromPrince Harry’s bombshell book, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond toldOK! recently.

Jennie added it appeared the Prince and Princess of Wales felt “the worst was over” following the damaging claims that came out in the Duke of Sussex’s memoirSpareand controversialNetflix documentary .

Harry’s book, published in January, brought anew round of attacks on the Royal Family– with criticism directed towards William and Kate – as well asKing CharlesandQueen Consort Camilla .

Among the most explosive allegations in the memoir was the claim thatWilliam physically attacked his brother in a row over Meghan Markle .

William and Kate have apparently bounced back from the attacks, appearing together in high spirits on a number of recent royal engagements – including recently on a visit to mark St David’s Day.

Princess Kate was even filmedpatting William’s bum in a rare public display of affection at the BAFTA awards last month.

Jennie said: “Kate and William seem more relaxed with each other than ever – bum tapping. Does that have anything to do with the dust settling around the Harry and Meghan book, interviews, Netflix programme?

“I think they feel the worst is over. Surely not much more Harry and Meghan can say or do. They’ve come out of it pretty well.”

Meanwhile, Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, have seen tensions with the Royal Family further heightened recently after it emerged King Charles had asked themto vacate Frogmore Cottage – their UK home that was gifted to them by the lateQueen after they tied the knot in 2018.
