Kate Middleton shares pic of herself as a baby – and she looks just like Prince Louis

Kate Middleton has shared an adorable throwback photo of herself as a baby, as she launches a photo sharing campaign for Shaping Us, which encourages people to think about their early childhoods and how the earliest years of their life shaped them as adults today.

The following message from The Princess of Wales has been posted alongside the image: "'Faces are a baby’s best toy.'

"On Tuesday we launched #ShapingUs to raise awareness of the vital role our early years play in shaping the rest of our lives.

"This weekend, we’d love for you all to spend time with your friends, families, colleagues and communities talking about your early childhoods and how they’ve shaped your lives.

"I hope you’ll also consider joining me in sharing a picture of yourselves before your fifth birthday to help with those conversation and to share some smiles and memories too."

The photo, which was posted to the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales, was quick to cause a stir among royal fans, with many noticing Kate's striking resemblance to her youngest son Prince Louis.

One commenter wrote: "I thought it was Prince Louis" while another added: "All I see is your baby Louis."

A third commented: "George and Charlotte looks like Prince William and Louis is definitely Catherine twins" while a number of others also joked that she and Louis could almost be twins.

Prior to launching the photo sharing campaign, Kate has been visiting schools across the UK as part of her Shaping Us campaign, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood for later life.

In a recent video she visited St John’s CE Primary School in Bethnal Green, east London, where she spoke to the schoolchildren about teddies, ice-cream and having both good and sad feelings.

Sitting in a classroom with the six reception-age pupils, the Princess talked to them about how having support from friends and family can make people feel better.

One girl told the princess: “I like my friend Miley. When I cry, she gets a tissue and wipes my tears.”

Kate replied: “That is the kind of friend… we all have feelings don’t we? Good feelings and sad feelings.

“But if we’ve got our friends around us and our family, it makes us feel better, doesn’t it? Does it make you feel better when you talk about your feelings?”

She then told the children she had a film for them to watch and showed them The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood short claymation about the early life of a character called Layla.
